• Politico: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott immediately called another special session to pass a new congressional map, just two hours after the first attempt failed due to Texas Democrats leaving the state.
• Washington Post: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi L. Noem (who earns $200K in her position and is worth an estimated $5 million) is living for free in a military home typically reserved for the U.S. Coast Guard’s top admiral.
• New York Times: The District of Columbia government filed a lawsuit on Friday challenging the Trump administration’s power-grab of the D.C. Police Department, saying the move “far exceeds” the president’s authority under the Home Rule Act of 1973.
