• Deadline: The Meryl Streep/Anne Hathaway dramedy The Devil Wears Prada 2 will outstrip the original 2006 film’s global lifetime box office of $326.5 million today – just a week after the sequel’s release. Folks are projecting it could hit over $700 million worldwide by Sunday.
• Page Six: There’s Broadway chatter that Lea Michele called out of CHESS this week after being snubbed by the Tony Awards nominations on Tuesday.

• Labor Department: The U.S. economy added 115,000 jobs last month while the unemployment rate remained at 4.3%. February numbers were revised down by 23,000, and March was revised up by 7,000. With these revisions, employment in February and March combined is 16,000 lower than previously reported.
• JoeMyGod: Billionaire Larry Ellison reportedly promised to fire a bunch of CNN reporters to appease the White House and push through Paramount’s deal to buy Warner Bros Discovery.

• AP News: The redistricting wars continue to heat up — the Virginia Supreme Court struck down the state’s redistricting map, narrowly approved by voters last month, while Republicans in Alabama approved plans for new primary elections if courts allow GOP-drawn House districts to be used in the November midterm elections.
• CBS News New York: ICE agents grabbed a New York teenager, tackled him to the ground, cuffed him, then realized they had the wrong guy.
