Eric McCormack: “Will & Grace” Got The U.S. To Gay Marriage

“We snuck in. We were in your living room every week and, ‘Isn’t that one so funny?’ and ‘I like him.’ Old women that had never met a gay man in their life were like, ‘I hope Will finds a nice boy.’

“It permeated American culture slowly but surely, and all the more reason that we have to come back and remind people that that’s why we got where we got — that’s why we got to a place where gay marriage was passed, that marriage equality was passed as a right in 50 states.”

Parody: Allison Lane “A Slovenian Love Ballad”

The talented Ms. Allison Lane comes up with this Melania-themed parody of “What I Did For Love” from the hit Broadway musical, A Chorus Line.

Titled, “A Slovenian Love Ballad,” Lane imagines the current First Lady as a sad, kept gold-digger woman longing for her freedom; freedom that may be looming “as indictments pile on, divorce it soon may follow.”

Truth be told, Lane isn’t the only one thinking along those lines.

I’ve featured Lane on The Randy Report before here. Watch her latest below.

Missouri: Four Young People Charged With Beating & Mutilation Death Of 19-Year-Old Transgender Teen

Joseph Steinfeld aka “Ally”

Four young people have been arrested in Texas County, Missouri on charges relating to the brutal mutilation and murder of transgender teenager Joseph Steinfeld.

On Monday, 19-year-olds Andrew Vrba and Isis Schauer and 24-year-old Briana Calderas were charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse.

Additionally, James T. Grigsby was arraigned on the charges of abandonment of a corpse and tampering with evidence in a felony case.

Joseph, also known as Joey and Ally, had been reported missing by family.

Steinfeld’s sister, Ashleigh Boswell, told the Springfield News-Leader that Joey had discussed being transgender with the family and contemplated undergoing gender-reassignment surgery some day.

Boswell described Joey was “a very loving, outgoing person” who “didn’t like conflict whatsoever.”

“We honestly don’t understand why they done it,” she added. “It just don’t make any sense.”

From the News-Leader:

When questioned Wednesday, Schauer denied any knowledge of Steinfeld’s whereabouts. She said the teen was last seen leaving a Cabool home after having a physical altercation with Vrba. But after obtaining permission to look at her phone, a sheriff’s deputy saw the Facebook messages.

Schauer told the deputy she couldn’t remember what the conversation was about, but later admitted she was aware of the killing and helped get rid of the body, the probable cause statement said.

Vrba told investigators he had to kill Steinfeld and initially tried to poison the teen, though the probable cause statement didn’t provide a possible motive for the attack. The detective wrote that Vrba then described how he stabbed Steinfeld in the living room of the home.

Vrba said the trio burned Steinfeld’s body, and placed some of the bones into a garbage bag and that the bag was placed in a chicken coop near the residence. The women said Vrba told them he had gouged Steinfeld’s eyes and stabbed the teen in the genitals, and bragged about the killing, the detective wrote.

The detective said Calderas admitted Steinfeld was killed at her home and that she helped burn the body, but that she didn’t want Steinfeld dead. Schauer and Vrba disagreed, saying that Calderas mentioned several days earlier that she wanted Steinfeld to die. Calderas led authorities to the knife used in the killing and Steinfeld’s phone, the detective wrote.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help Steinfeld’s family handle funeral expenses.

Steinfeld is reportedly the 21st transgender person killed in the U.S. this year.

UPDATED: Megyn Kelly Asks A Fan If “Will & Grace” Turned Him Gay

This article has been updated since it’s original posting.

Monday saw the launch of Megyn Kelly’s Today Show and it seems she’s going to need some time to find her “light-hearted morning show” banter.

Speaking with the cast of Will & Grace, the former Fox News host introduced a superfan of the iconic 90s sitcom, Russel Turner, from the audience.

Things got a bit awkward from the get-go.

“Is it true that you became a lawyer—and you became gay—because of Will?” Kelly asked the excited Turner.

Fortunately, Turner was quick on the fly: “I look at Will Truman, I’m like, ‘He has it made.’ Lawyer, best apartment in New York, and gay? Come on, trifecta.”

After surprising Turner with tickets to Los Angeles to a taping and backstage tour of Will & Grace, Kelly closed out the segment with another graceless turn of phrase: “I don’t know about the lawyer thing, but I think the Will & Grace thing and the gay thing is going to work out great!”

UPDATE: Debra Messing took to her Instagram afterwards to say “Honestly I didn’t know it was MK until that morning. The itinerary just said Today show appearance. Regret going on. Dismayed by her comments.”

She later deleted that comment but several folks screen-capped it.

Donald Trump Angry Over Backing Alabama Loser, Deletes Endorsement Tweets

As predicted, virulently ultra-conservative, anti-LGBT Roy Moore won the U.S. Senate run-off in Alabama last night over incumbent Sen. Luther Strange.

It’s worth noting that Moore is quite open about his utter disdain for LGBTs. He’s publicly stated, “Homosexual conduct should be illegal. It is immoral. It is defined by the law as detestable.”

Strange was appointed to the Senate seat after Jeff Sessions resigned to become U.S. Attorney General.

Donald Trump supported Strange and upon learning the results last night became enraged that he had backed the losing candidate.

From CNN:

Returning from a high-dollar fundraiser in Manhattan on Tuesday evening, an infuriated President Donald Trump watched aboard Air Force One as Fox News called the Alabama Senate primary for Roy Moore against Trump’s favored candidate, Luther Strange.

What ensued was a barrage of angry venting at his political team and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who had consolidated establishment GOP support behind Strange. Trump, officials and informal advisers say, felt misled by McConnell and his political team, who encouraged him to endorse and campaign for Strange.

He went to bed “embarrassed and pissed” following the election loss, according to a person familiar with his mindset. Trump, multiple sources said, is furious with McConnell, and feels outdone by his former aide Bannon. It is only the latest in growing list of reasons Trump is furious at McConnell.

Inside the White House, fingers are being pointed at Ward Baker, a McConnell strategist, and Nick Ayers, the vice president’s chief of staff, both of whom were involved in pushing Trump to back Strange, according to sources.

Probably making the loss even worse to swallow was the fact that Moore had the support of former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon.

Trump was so embarrassed by the loss he began deleting tweets posted over the past couple of weeks showing his support of Strange.

Trump: Facebook & Fake News Colluded Against Me

According to Donald Trump, it was him against the world.

Everyone was against him – except his people.

Going full conspiracy theory on Twitter this morning, Trump denied the reports that hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Facebook ads purchased by a Russian think tank helped him win the presidency.

p.s. It did.

See, if that were true it would mean he didn’t do it all on his own, and well, how could that possibly be true?

“Facebook was always anti-Trump.The Networks were always anti-Trump hence, Fake News, @nytimes(apologized) & @WaPo were anti-Trump. Collusion?” Trump tweeted.

“But the people were Pro-Trump! Virtually no President has accomplished what we have accomplished in the first 9 months-and economy roaring.”

Just a small amount of ego in that last line, huh?

And what up with repeating the lie that the New York Times apologized to him? #NeverHappened

I find it embarrassing that a president of the United States has such a fragile ego.

• I’m calling for #TouchTuesdays. Do you ever think about how much you touch (or don’t touch) your spouse/significant other/family/friends? If not, give that a ponder. Human contact literally connects us. I was holding hot hubby Michael’s hand through the streets of NYC this week and remembered how much I like it 🙂

• Have you heard the one about the gay Republican who has spent time on Twitter asking why he should pay for health insurance since he’s young and in perfect shape? The same guy who was in a car accident and realized his hospital bill could be enormous? The same guy who, opposing “free healthcare” set up a GoFundMe campaign so others could pay his bills? I kid you not. #Karma

Out Former NFL Player Esera Tuaolo Kills On “The Voice” Blind Audition

Well, I know who I’m pulling for on this season of The Voice!

From People Magazine:

Former NFL player Esera Tuaolo amazed The Voice judges and the audience with his rendition of Andra Day’s “Rise Up” on the premiere of the singing TV show.

Tuaolo, 49, kept his sexual orientation a secret from his NFL teammates during the nine years he was a defensive tackle, but the player revealed on Monday night’s show what it was like to finally come out.

“When I finished in the NFL, I came out to my family. When I said those words for the first [time], when I said that I was gay, it was like this huge mountain just crumbled,” the former Minnesota Vikings player said.

“I felt light as a feather, but when I jumped on the scale I was still that 6’4”, 300 pound Samoan that’s gay and played in the NFL.”

Going from NFL star to singer has been part of his journey to living his life to the fullest.

“What The Voice has given me is an opportunity to reach for the stars,” he said before stepping onto the stage.

My hubby, Michael, has known Esera for years and says he’s one of the nicest guys.

He does a great job on “Rise Up,” one of my favorite songs. Watch below.
