Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren announced today she is establishing an exploratory committee in advance of a presidential run in 2020.

You’ll note the multiple shots of pride events and LGBTQ folks in the announcement video below.

I’ve never personally connected with Warren on a visceral level. That said, I do like much of what she says and I’m happy to listen.

Bottom line is: I will be voting for the Democratic candidate in 2020 because Trump will not get my vote.

Louis C.K. Returns Mocking Parkland School Shooting Students & Transphobic ‘Jokes’

Just when you thought Kevin Spacey’s bizarre YouTube video was the worst re-emergence of the year, Louis C.K. shows up with a ‘hold my beer’ moment.

After multiple allegations of sexual misconduct forced him from the public eye in November 2017 – his FX network series was cancelled and the release of his feature film I Love You Daddy was axed – the comic told the world he was going to chill for bit.

“These stories are true,” he wrote in his apology. “When you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly.”

‘I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want,” Louis C.K. said at the time. “I will now step back and take a long time to listen.”

Well, he’s not listening any longer.

In a new comedy set (which leaked this weekend), the 51-year-old came out swinging at a whole host of targets.

Complaining about young people today, he riffed on folks who use gender neutral pronouns.

“They’re like royalty!” he said. “They tell you what to call them. ‘You should address me as they/them, because I identify as gender-neutral.’ Oh, Ok. You should address me as ‘there’ because I identify as a location. And the location is your mother’s cunt.”

He also trained his ire on the survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida where seventeen teens and adults were killed on February 14.

“They testify in front of Congress, these kids? What are they doing?,” says the comic in the leaked video.

“You’re young, you should be crazy, you should be unhinged, not in a suit… you’re not interesting. Because you went to a high school where kids got shot? Why does that mean I have to listen to you? You didn’t got shot, you pushed some fat kid in the way, and now I’ve gotta listen to you talking?”

Listening to the audio, it’s hard to tell which is worse: Louis C.K. doing transphobic jokes and mocking school shooting survivors or the people laughing uproariously at the routine.

But this Twitter user summed it up best perhaps: “I actually don’t need to hear audio of Louis CK making fun of the Parkland survivors and trans people. It’s about to be a new year. I think I’ll leave Louis CK behind in 2018 and that’s where he can stay forever.”

Here’s just one episode:

The one that comes to mind now is the anti-gay lobbyist whose office was lined with framed appreciation from Focus on the Family, and pictures with Pat Buchanan and Jerry Falwell, but whose son’s room was painted pink and littered with Barbies.

The hypocrite’s son said he was still a boy. He just thought his sundress was really cute. I agreed, told him I love daisies, and he beamed.

His father thanked me, and I wanted to tell him to go fuck himself. How the fuck do you actively work to ensure the world’s a more dangerous place for your beautiful little kid?

But I didn’t ask him that. I just stood and glared at him until he looked away. I needed the job.

I assumed his kid would grow up to hate him.

Hough also notes, through her adventures, that conservatives tended to treat her like a servant, while blue collar and sex worker customers were more polite and likely to tip after she would complete repairs.

She also shares a story about the wife of a Fox News junkie who insisted on calling her “Larry,” mistaking her for a man since she is actually a six foot tall military veteran who’s also a lesbian.

After telling the Foxer it would be 7-10 days to get his cable TV back up to speed, the wife (who had spent the entire visit cleaning the already clean kitchen counter) came out to Hough’s van to apologize for her husband.

I said, “It’s fine.” I said there really wasn’t anything I could do. She blinked back the flood of tears she’d been holding since God knows when. She said, “It’s just, when he has Fox, he has Obama to hate. If he doesn’t have that …” She kept looking over her shoulder. She was terrified of him. “I’m sorry,” she said. “I just need him to have Fox.” I got out of my van.

Hough eventually finds herself assigned to doing repairs at former Vice President Dick Cheney’s home.

In an appearance on ABC News’ This Week, four-star Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who led the international mission in Afghanistan, told host Martha Raddatz that Donald Trump lies and is ‘immoral.’

In the exchange, Raddatz asks if McChrystal would serve in the Trump administration if asked. The answer is a quick ‘no.’

McChrystal: “I think it’s important for me to work for people who are basically honest.”

Raddatz: “You think he’s a liar?”

McChrystal: “I don’t think he tells the truth.”

Raddatz: “Is Trump immoral, in your view?”

McChrystal: “I think he is.”

Study: A Curved Penis Might Indicate Higher Risk For Cancer

A new study shows that men whose penis curves may be at a higher risk for several types of cancer.

Via The Independent:

Presented at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, a study of more than 1.5million men has found worrying links between Peyronie’s Disease – a condition which causes the penis to become curved when erect – and stomach, skin and testicular cancers.

Also known as penile fibroses, the condition affects around 155,000 male adults in the UK, and while it is more common in men over 40, it can happen at any age.

A review of patient data by Baylor College in Houston has found that those diagnosed with the condition are at a 40 per cent higher risk of testicular cancer, a 29 per cent higher risk of melanoma and a 40 percent increased likelihood of stomach cancer, the Telegraph reports.

As such, the team behind the study suggest that men with Peyronie’s are closely monitored for cancer so that any development can be caught early.

Trump Blames Democrats For Deaths Of Two Migrant Children

Donald Trump went on a Twitter rant this afternoon blaming, of all people, the Democrats for the deaths of two children that were in custody of the Border Patrol.

This is the first time Trump has even commented on the children who died.

The Trumpster wrote, “Any deaths of children or others at the Border are strictly the fault of the Democrats and their pathetic immigration policies that allow people to make the long trek thinking they can enter our country illegally.”

No sympathy, no remorse regarding the deaths of an 8-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl while in the custody of the Border Patrol.

How Democrats have the power to make people ‘think’ a long trek across anywhere will ‘allow’ them to enter the US is beyond me.

It’s a fact that Democrats have allocated billions for better border security.

From The New York Times:

Despite Mr. Trump’s assertions to the contrary, most Democrats support increased funding for border security. Many Senate Democrats, for instance, voted to allocate tens of billions of dollars for security enhancements in 2013, including roughly doubling the size of the border patrol, creating new electronic monitoring systems and even some additional physical barriers at certain points along the border.

But that money was in the context of a comprehensive immigration overhaul that would have tried to address systemic problems. By contrast, they view Mr. Trump’s border wall as a costly and ineffective proposal. What is more, they have pointed to government accounting documents that show the Trump administration has spent only a fraction of the money allocated by Congress last year for a physical barrier along the border.

The Donald ended the rant by ironically taking responsibility for the shutdown saying, “Now we have to do it the hard way, with a Shutdown. Too bad!”

Trump Continues To Try And Make ‘Presidential Harassment’ A Thing

As predicted, Donald Trump is continuing to embrace his new catch phrase, ‘presidential harassment.’

The Donald tweets, “I am in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come on over and make a deal on Border Security. From what I hear, they are spending so much time on Presidential Harassment that they have little time left for things like stopping crime and our military!”

A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Thursday shows 47% of adults hold Mr. Trump responsible for the shutdown versus 33% who blame the Democrats in Congress.

The truth is Senate and House Republicans had a deal to continue funding the government which Trump agreed to. He only u-turned after Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter publicly criticized him.

Back in 2013, Trump told Fox News, “Problems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top. And the president’s the leader. And he’s got to get everybody in a room. And he’s got to lead.”

Well, Donny, time to ‘get everybody in a room’ and lead.

• Police in Colorado have arrested a woman for trashing a gay man’s apartment over his “gay behavior.” She faces charges of causing non-serious bodily injury, domestic violence, criminal mischief, and assault in the third degree, with possible bias crime enhancements.

• Outsports has named Gus Kenworthy’s slope-side kiss with boyfriend Matt Wilkas at the Olympics the “gay sports moment of 2018.”

• Thanks to the Trump Shutdown, as of midnight tonight, 42,000 Coast Guard members won’t see another paycheck until mid-January at the earliest. Other military branches are unaffected by the partial government shutdown but the Coast Guard falls under the Homeland Security Department.

• Out comedienne/TV host Ellen DeGeneres snagged a Top 10 spot (8th) on Gallup’s “Most Admired Women” poll this year. She’s the only LGBTQ person to appear on the list.

Wealthy Gay Trumpers Named “2018 Men Of The Year”

Last month, I wrote about two wealthy gay New Yorkers profiled by The New York Times for their outspoken support for Donald Trump.

Actually, Bill White and Bryan Eure had spent years among the liberal elite of NYC hosting big-ticket fundraisers for Barack Obama and supporting Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaigns.

But on election night 2016, as the results were being reported, they quickly left the Clinton watch party and drove across town to suddenly become Trumpers.

Poof! Instant MAGAs.

“I didn’t want to be part of that misery pie; I’m not a wallower in self-pity,” White told the Times. “I really believe that once that decision is made, you have to get behind your president.”

I’m certain the course change had nothing to do with wanting access to the new president and his team. Nada.

In any case, The Washington Free Beacon has bestowed upon the men the title of “2018 Men of the Year.”

I think they misspelled the word ‘quisling.’

The outlet describes itself as “a privately owned, for-profit online newspaper” that is “dedicated to uncovering the stories that the powers that be hope will never see the light of day.”

In its one page tribute to White and Eure, the far-right website uses the word ‘bravery’ seven times in describing the couple for being “gay, liberal, millionaires who nevertheless want to MAGA.”

White & Eure are literally being labeled a ‘profile in courage’ for jumping ship and running to the next opportunity.

The duo had fundraised for everyone around. Frauds like Barack Obama. Feminist icons like Hillary Clinton. But it wasn’t until they discovered the charms of the straight-talking conductor of the Trump Train that they understood just how amazing politics could be.

And yet, for embracing this authentic billionaire whose taste runs toward the gold-plated, how have their friends reacted? With acceptance? With arms wide open?

No. They’ve been scorned, screamed at, shunned. Friends have turned their back. Hillaryworld has gone to war.

And yet, they endure. This is the sort of spirit that will make America great again. And for that, the Washington Free Beacon is proud to name Bill White and Bryan Eure men of the year.

“They endure.”

Who knew “endure” meant supporting a homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic divider who has a loose grasp on truth and reality.

But then, White and Eure seem to have their own loose grasp on loyalty or principles, flipping from one politician (or political party) to another as long as they have the access and ‘star treatment’ they crave.

At one point in the Times article, Eure complained that after ‘borrowing’ a friend’s helicopter to travel to a Clinton campaign event, he didn’t get the immediate access to Hillary Clinton he wanted. He said it was due to not writing a big enough check.

Eure, who spent most of his life as a Republican before marrying White, was caught on social media posting his own transphobic and homophobic comments, which were reported by NewNowNext.

When New York-based activist and drag queen Marti Gould Cummings called Eure out on Instagram saying the couple could have used their wealth to help transgender people, Eure responded, “Transgender is gross.”

In another social media post, one commenter disagreed with Eure’s position that there are lots of gay Trump supporters.

Eure clapped back with a threat: “Oh yes there are. And we will win and we will take your little rights away and deport you and gas you and turn you straight while you rot in a cage.”

Charming, no?

Washington Free Beacon, I give you your “2018 Men of the Year.”
