Betting On Trump Stock/Crypto Didn’t Work Out Well In 2025

For the folks who trust in Donald Trump in part because he’s touted his “success” as a businessman, 2025 was a year where retail investors could place their own bets on his business acumen.

Two of the easiest ways supporters could “cash in” on the Trump business empire was to buy stock in his publicly traded media-finance-and-energy company, Trump Media & Technology Group which owns Truth Social (ticker symbol “DJT”) or his cryptocurrency memecoin, Official TRUMP.

Happy New Year! Some news stories for you as we shrug off last night’s festivities.

TMZ: International pop star Pink shared a selfie from a hospital bed on New Year’s Eve, revealing she’s undergoing surgery to get two new discs in her neck. Sounds sad, but the singer was upbeat in her Instagram message adding, “Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport.”

OUT: Even CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live telecast couldn’t avoid the cultural power of HBO’s “Heated Rivalry,” as the show came up at least four times between hosting besties Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper. During one segment, Cohen asked country artist Brandi Carlile, “Do lesbians care about ‘Heated Rivalry?” as Cooper giggled uncontrollably. Donald Trump’s first veto of his second term kills a bill unanimously passed by both the House and Senate to fund a major safe drinking water project in Colorado.

Trump has been on a vengeance campaign against Colorado for imprisoning his ally, Tina Peters. Peters was a former Mesa County clerk who was sentenced to nine years in prison for her role in the security breach at her local elections office during the 2020 election. DC Pipe Bomb Suspect Seeks Release Due To Autism Diagnosis

Brian Cole, 30, accused of planting pipe bombs at the Democratic and Republican national party headquarters the night before the January 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol is requesting a conditional release from jail citing his autism diagnosis.
