President Erdogan Of Turkey Complains Of ‘LGBT Colors’ At UN

Turkey’s virulently anti-LGBTQ President Tayyip Erdogan had a hissy fit on Thursday, saying he was “uncomfortable” with the United Nations building being decorated with what he described as “LGBT colors.” In fact, what Erdogan saw was not the rainbow Pride flag but the 17 different colors associated with the Sustainable Development Goals, which were used throughout the building for a summit held at the U.N. earlier this week. School Board Member’s Mother Removed From Meeting After Physical Altercation

Tensions ran high at a Forest Hills school board meeting in Ohio over Superintendent Larry Hook’s decision to paint over a student-created mural at the start of the school year. Depicting the hands of people of different races, the mural signaled love and solidarity through symbols of equality and acceptance of various sexual orientations. But things got so heated, the mother of a right-wing school board member had to be removed by police after getting physical with another attendee. The Defense Department will begin proactively reviewing cases in order to issue honorable discharges to LGBTQ veterans discharged under DADT. The Defense Department announced on Wednesday, the 12th anniversary of the repeal of its hideous “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, that it will begin proactively reviewing cases involving LGBTQ veterans who were discharged under DADT.
