Joseph Harding, a former Florida state lawmaker, was sentenced to 4 months in prison for fraudulently collecting about $150,000 in COVID-19 relief funds intended to help small businesses. Laphonza Butler, appointed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom just weeks ago to fill Dianne Feinstein’s seat, says she will not run for the Senate seat next fall.
