• Instinct Magazine: After photos of Pedro Pascal and male model Christian Hogue (above) vacationing aboard a yacht in Mallorca, Spain, surfaced in late July, social media began to rumor they were a couple. Hogue responded on Instagram saying nope – “I am not gay nor am I for hire.”

Senate Passes Russia Sanctions Bill By Vote Of 86-11

U.S. Senate

By a vote of 86-11, the U.S. Senate has passed a Russia sanctions bill designed to stifle the Russian economy and bring an end to a war that started in 2022 when Vladimir Putin launched an invasion of Ukraine that has since cost thousands of civilian lives.

The bipartisan legislation, championed by the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), would penalize countries that continue to buy Russian oil, gas and other exports seeking to deprive Putin of revenues fueling the war. Jobs Report: 23K Jobs Lost In July + May/June Numbers Revised Down By 103K

The U.S. economy lost 23,000 jobs in July

The U.S. labor market shed 23,000 jobs in July, and jobs gains for May and June were also revised down by a combined 103,000 jobs, according to a new report by the Labor Department.

• The Advocate: A new “code of practice” is now in effect across England, Scotland and Wales that says bathrooms, changing rooms and hospital wards designated for women or for men must exclude transgender men and women. No word yet on how the new rule will be enforced.

• Queerty: What to watch? Check out the 2022 docuseries titled Colosseum, an eight-part look at gladiators – “the heavyweight champions of the Roman empire.” Available on HISTORY (formerly The History Channel). HISTORY, you have my attention…trailer below.

• The Daily Beast: Trump’s failing Truth Social platform continues its downward spiral as daily active users have reportedly plummeted from 436,000 in July 2025 to only 261,000 one year later.

• ABC News: Sen. Mitch McConnell issued a statement today saying he has been discharged from the rehabilitation center where he had been recovering after a fall and will continue to recover at home.

While his office has released two photographs of McConnell since his hospitalization, the Kentucky senator has not been seen in public.

Trans Couple Attacked For Using Restroom + ‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Rowdy Robertson + More

Some news items for you as we head over Hump Day:

• Erin in the Morning: A trans couple was brutally attacked by an angry mob for using a public restroom in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. The sheriff charged them for the incident, not the mob. p.s. Louisiana does not have an anti-trans bathroom ban on the books.
