Federal Court Blocks Trump From Imposing Tariffs Under Emergency Powers Law

Update: Reuters reports a federal appeals court on Thursday reinstated most of Donald Trump’s tariffs, a day after a trade court ruled Trump had exceeded his authority in imposing the duties and had ordered an immediate block on them.

Donald Trump has granted a full pardon to reality show stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were convicted in June 2022 on multiple federal charges, including conspiracy to commit bank fraud, tax evasion, and wire fraud. The couple, reality-famous for their TV show “Chrisley Knows Best,” were convicted in 2022 for bilking banks out of tens of millions of dollars through fraudulent bank loans and then using their production company to hide the income from the IRS. A deep fake video of Donald Trump saying “Pride Month is cancelled” making the rounds on social media pretends to show Trump declaring the US would “no longer participate in deliberate moral inversions” by observing Pride Month in June. In the clip, “Trump” goes on to say that June will be known as “confidence month…or maybe just June,” before adding crass comments about gay sex.
