• Parade Magazine: Bobby Sherman, a teen idol in the 60s and 70s, has died at the age of 81. Sherman was known for huge chart hits including “Hey Little Girl,” and “Julie, Do Ya Love Me.” He also appeared on hit TV shows including Here Come the Brides, Getting Together, and The Mod Squad.
• Broadway World: More than 200 of New York City’s fiercest dancers created a larger-than-life, over-the-rainbow romp down the yellow brick road at Broadway Bares on Sunday raising a record-breaking $2.4+ million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
• Latin Times: In celebration of Pride Week, more than five thousand LGBTQ+ activists converged on Mexico City’s Zócalo to form the world’s largest human LGBT flag.
• The Advocate: Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) is the new ranking member of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, making him the first out gay to lead the party on one of Congress’ most powerful and combative panels.
• WABE: Four teenagers were arrested early Tuesday morning and have hate crime charges pending against them after police say they stole and cut up Pride flags outside one of Atlanta’s most well-known gay bars.
• X: GOP Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky clapped back at VP Vance after JD boasted about his “exciting” week.
