AP News: Pop star Britney Spears was arrested last night for on DUI charges. after the California Highway Patrol stopped her around 9 p.m. for driving fast and erratically. Her spokesperson acknowledges it was “inexcusable” adding that  Britney will get the “long overdue” help she needs.

NPR: A January 6 rioter pardoned by Donald Trump, has been sentenced to life in prison for child sex abuse after a Florida jury found him guilty of 5 criminal charges, including molestation, lewd and lascivious exhibition and transmission of material harmful to a minor.

Axios: Donald Trump says he needs to be personally involved in selecting Iran’s next leader. Acknowledging that the son of assassinated supreme leader Ali Khamenei is the most likely successor, Trump added he finds that outcome “unacceptable.”
