• Axios: There have been at least 7.5 million illnesses, 81,000 hospitalizations and 3,100 deaths from the flu so far this season, according to the CDC. Experts advise getting a flu shot adding the current vaccine will provide at least “some protection against severe disease” from the current ‘super flu’ variant.
• LGBTQ Nation: Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ended a Navy doctor’s career after she was targeted by online trolls for her support for transgender healthcare.
Hate influencer Chaya Raichik went after Dr. Janelle Marra for posting pronouns in her bio. The administration took her cue.

• New York Times: Donald Trump apparently viewed Russia as “invincible” in its war against Ukraine. When his envoy Keith Kellogg backed Ukraine and praised Ukraine President Zelensky, he was reportedly called an “idiot” and replaced by Trump’s friend Steve Witkoff. • The Daily Beast: Trump spent a quarter of the days in his second term (88) at a golf club. The Trump Golf Tracker estimates that the Donald’s golf trips have cost taxpayers some $110,600,000 so far in 2025.
