Some news items I thought worth your time:
• Them: Dan Santiago, one half of the duo who went viral gay grinding in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show (above), says in a new interview, “Queerness deserves to be seen.”
• OUT: Former “The Voice” finalist Sasha Allen is back with a new song, “What It Feels Like,” about catching feelings for a special person, catching up to this new reality, and catching his breath to express how much he loves — and adores — his girlfriend, Adore Delano.
• KSAT: A U.S. Customs and Border Protection supervisor is facing federal charges over allegations he harbored an immigrant living in the country illegally. Court documents state the immigrant was both his girlfriend and niece.
• Pink News: More queer women are getting guns in response to MAGA violence.
• WYFF: The number of measles cases in South Carolina has now reached at least 950 cases. Data shows 883 of those infected are unvaccinated.
• Mediaite: Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) says he will not attend the upcoming White House dinner for governors and their families due to Donald Trump’s refusal to invite Gov. Jared Polis (D-CO), the only out gay governor, and Gov. Wes Moore (D-MD), the sole Black governor in the nation.
“He has taken a annual bipartisan tradition, and he’s turned it into his own 12-year-old birthday party, where he’s going to invite some people and not invite others.”
“[The president] is treating it like he’s a 12-year-old and it’s his birthday party, inviting and disinviting people, lashing out at others.”
