• AP News: A Japanese high court on Friday ruled that Japan’s refusal to legally recognize same-sex marriage is unconstitutional, marking the ninth victory out of 10 rulings since the first group of plaintiffs filed lawsuits in 2019.

• The Advocate: Mickey Harmon and Jordan Celotto, a gay couple known for art and activism, were killed in their Buffalo, N.Y., home this week, and a suspect has been charged with murder.
• Survey Center on American Life: Taking a look at the steady rise in LGBTQ identity among the public as well as the increasing gender gap in LGBTQ identity. Interesting read.

• New York Times: There were fireworks in the Cabinet Room of the White House as simmering anger at Elon Musk’s unchecked power spilled out in a remarkable Cabinet Room meeting. The president quickly moved to rein in Musk.
• KTLA: After days of speculation, medical examiners believe Gene Hackman’s wife Betsy Arakawa probably died of an ongoing medical condition a few days before Hackman did in their New Mexico home. One of the couple’s dogs also died of thirst and starvation due to being penned in a crate.
