• The Advocate: An out New Jersey assistant principal has sued his school district after his boss allegedly told him to “leave the gay at the door.” The former administrator’s contract wasn’t renewed after he reported discriminatory treatment to the school district.

• OUT: Former NBA center Jason Collins, who was the first out player in the league, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He is currently undergoing treatment.

• NPR: The Labor Department reports consumer prices in August were up 2.9% from a year ago. Prices for groceries jumped 0.6% while gasoline prices rose 1.9%. Stripping out volatile food and energy prices, “core” inflation was 3.1% for the last 12 months.
• Pink News: Anti-LGBTQ Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) lost it on the floor of the House after Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-CA) noted many members of Congress have received gender-affirming care like boob jobs, botox, and facial fillers.
