• NBC News: New York City has opened the first publicly funded homeless shelter for transgender people. Ace’s Place will offer 150 beds and services, including counseling, financial literacy workshops and a work-study program in the culinary arts.

• The Daily Beast: The Kennedy Center is likely dropping its famous rainbow ribbon following Donald Trump’s takeover of the cultural institution and his deep revulsion of rainbow symbolism in the LGBTQ community.
• JoeMyGod: Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) got super-crunchy after getting fact-checked for trying to take credit for federal funding of a project in her district after she voted against the legislation.

• Reuters: It’s not your imagination – neo-Nazi groups like the Aryan Freedom Network are flourishing under Trump. His heated rhetoric has galvanized a new wave of far-right activists, fueling growth in white supremacist ranks.
• WPLG: The Florida Department of Education has identified more than 50 LGBTQ-themed books it says are no longer permitted in public schools across the state, citing inappropriate content. Included in the list are Juno Dawson’s “This Book Is Gay” and Judy Blume’s “Forever…”
