The classified document kerfuffle just got more complicated as letters from the National Archives now indicate a lawyer for Mike Pence discovered about a dozen classified documents at Pence’s Indiana home last week. Like President Biden’s team, Pence didn’t hesitate to turn those classified records over to the FBI. Donald Trump, however, stonewalled for months about turning over classified docs stored at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida. https://twitter.com/washingtonpost/status/1617943014277582869 From the Washington Post:

Gregory F. Jacob, a designated representative for Pence’s vice-presidential records, said the FBI collected the classified documents from the Pence home on Jan. 19. Jacob noted he would deliver the boxes in which those documents were found, along with other vice-presidential papers, to the National Archives on Jan. 23.

“Following press reports of classified documents at the personal home of President Biden, out of an abundance of caution, on Monday, January 16, Vice President Pence engaged outside counsel, with experience in handling classified documents, to review records stored in his personal home,” Jacob said in a letter dated Jan. 18.

“Counsel identified a small number of documents that could potentially contain sensitive or classified information interspersed throughout the records.”

In November 2022, Pence told ABC News he did not take any classified documents when he left the government. https://twitter.com/Acyn/status/1617933153376534567 https://twitter.com/Victorshi2020/status/1617935405491552258 https://twitter.com/Acyn/status/1617932727780507669 https://twitter.com/WalshFreedom/status/1617940699244298242
