Donald Trump went on another all-caps social media tirade over the new charges added to his Mar-a-Lago classified documents indictment.
Over on his Truth Social account, the Trumpster screamed:
MAR-A-LAGO SECURITY TAPES WERE NOT DELETED. THEY WERE VOLUNTARILY HANDED OVER TO THE THUGS, HEADED UP BY DERANGED JACK SMITH. WE DID NOT EVEN GO TO COURT TO STOP THEM FROM GETTING THESE TAPES. I NEVER TOLD ANYBODY TO DELETE THEM. PROSECUTORIAL FICTION & MISCONDUCT! ELECTION INTERFERENCE!
Of course, it’s worth noting that no one has accused him of deleting the surveillance “tapes” (when was the last time ‘tapes’ were used???).
The allegation added to Trump’s previous charges is “attempting to ‘alter, destroy, mutilate, or conceal evidence.'”
And yes, I believe he told an employee to erase the server the video recordings were on.
Does anyone hold Donald Trump to be such a bastion of ethics and morality to such a degree that, if he knew his own surveillance videos could cause him legal jeopardy, that he wouldn’t order them erased???
