Trump: I Was Being ‘A Little Bit Sarcastic’ When I Promised To End Ukraine War In 24 Hours

Donald Trump famously bragged over and over on the campaign trail that he could “end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours.” It turns out he was just being “a little bit sarcastic.” Sharyl Attkisson, host of the news magazine Full Measure, asked Trump about that campaign promise in an interview scheduled to run Sunday. Trump wasn’t so braggadocious one-on-one. “Well, I was being a little bit sarcastic when I said that,” Trump told. “What I really mean is I’d like to get it settled and, I’ll, I think, I think I’ll be successful.”

Trump on his repeated promise during the election to settle the war in Ukraine within 24 hours:
