Some news items you might have missed: • New Music: Grammy winner Lil Nas X continues his streak of Barbie-inspired visuals with the music video for his funky pop/rap single, “Hotbox.“ • Gay City News: Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg says he does not plan to run for office in Michigan ahead of pivotal elections for governor and US Senate, but his name remains in the mix for the 2028 presidential race. • Pink News: For fans of the 9-1-1 “Buddie” ship, here’s an excellent (spoiler alert) recap of the latest episode showcasing (what I hope is) a step towards the start of a romance that belongs in the ‘TV slow-burns Hall of Fame.’
• The Advocate: National Public Radio mistakenly advised Ari Shapiro, the longtime gay host of All Things Considered, to skip a corporate Pride event, then reversed course. The initial email to Shapiro was sent to a group email by mistake, notifying most of the NPR editorial staff of its recommendation. • JoeMyGod: There were protests across the U.S. today at Tesla showrooms as part of the “Tesla Takedown” movement. Austin, Detroit, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and many more cities saw their share of action.
