Donald Trump became the first former president to have a mug shot taken today as he was booked in an Atlanta jail on charges of interfering in the 2020 presidential election.

From the New York Times:

The case is the fourth time criminal charges have been brought against former President Donald J. Trump this year, but Thursday was the first time that he was booked at a jail and had his mug shot taken.

Mr. Trump spent about 20 minutes at the Fulton County Jail, submitting to some of the routines of criminal defendant intake. He was fingerprinted and had his photo taken.

He was given an identification number — P01135809 — in the Fulton County criminal justice system.

Trump was reportedly in and out in about 20 minutes. Much faster than his co-defendents.

Trump’s record lists him as having “blonde or strawberry” hair, a height of 6 foot 3 inches and a weight of (wait for it!) …… 215 pounds. That’s around 20 pounds less than his official weight after his last White House physical.

Trump was apparently allowed to “self-report” those stats.

The Twitterverse had a few thoughts about those stats.
