Some news stories I thought worth your time:
• The Advocate: House Democrats are demanding answers from Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth about delayed separation pay for transgender service members forced out under the Trump administration’s military ban. Some trans vets have been waiting months and months for tens of thousands.
• New York Times: Last month, the Department of Homeland Security sent Nevada (my state!) a list of 185 names that it claimed identified noncitizens who had been improperly allowed to register to vote. Nevada looked into the claim and found every single person on the list was a lawful citizen.

• NPR: In a 49-50 vote, the Senate failed to approve a resolution meant to curb Trump’s war powers even as frustration with the months-long war spills into the midterms. Dem Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) was the deciding vote after he voted against.
• X: Texas drag star Alyssa Edwards claps back at Texas Attorney General/ GOP Senate candidate Ken Paxton for referring to her as “sick and twisted.” Summed up – “Texas is big enough for all of us.”

• Outsports: The LGBTQ sports community in Turkey faces an uncertain future following the anti-LGBTQ crackdown enacted by the country’s authoritarian government. Two athletes living in a major Turkish city told Outsports that the social media accounts of the teams they help to run have been blocked.
