Ted Cruz (R-TX) has introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate that would restrict the use of preferred pronouns or names other than an individual’s legal name. The irony, of course, is that Cruz chooses to go by “Ted” instead of his real name, Rafael Edward Cruz. • Pink News: A gay couple in Nepal on Wednesday became the first in the nation to receive official same-sex marriage status. The Himalayan nation is now the second Asian country to legalize same-sex marriage, following Taiwan. https://twitter.com/PinkNews/status/1729987637778219370 • Mercury News: A Texas man convicted of threatening Georgia election officials online after the 2020 election was sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday. The Trump supporter posted on Craigslist seeking someone willing to kill Georgia officials for $10,000. #FuckedAroundFoundOut • Missouri Independent: Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey this week joined with 18 other states to oppose a proposed federal rule that aims to protect LGBTQ youth in foster care and provide them with necessary services. https://twitter.com/MO_Independent/status/1729847511710404878 • Las Vegas: The first Cirque du Soleil production to open in Sin City, Mystère, celebrated 30 years of awe-inspiring performances at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino on Tuesday. Since premiering in 1993, more than 17 million people have experienced the long-running Cirque du Soleil production. • Meidas Touch: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) posted an article on Twitter as “proof” that Ukraine is allegedly the most corrupt country in the world. Note: The article is from a Russian state propaganda organization that exists for deliberately spreading disinformation.
