Vanessa Williams launches new skin care line – ReVitalistic Skincare

Now, regular readers of The Randy Report know that I consider Vanessa Williams  not only one of the most talented and beautiful women in the world, but she’s a terrific mother AND a great friend.  So I’m especially excited for this time in her life.  Not only does she have a new TV show this fall on ABC – 666 Park Avenue – but she’s also launching her own skin care line!

Vanessa is launching her own skin care line based on her own skin care issues she’s faced while handling the challenges of having a full-time job and raising four children.

“As a mother, with a full-time job, who has always struggled with skin problems, I wanted to make beautiful skin easy to achieve and maintain by offering the best products sourced from around the world,” explains Vanessa, founder of ReVitalistic Skincare. “I created ReVitalistic Skincare for women with multi-faceted lives, who believe in the power of great skin and products that work.”

The collection consists of five key products, available in August 2012:

Re-Start Skin Serum
Helps offset the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while improving visible signs of age-related skin damage, leaving skin feeling smooth, radiant and hydrated

Re-Contour Neck & Décolleté Cream
Non-greasy cream designed to absorb quickly, improving the visible appearance of horizontal and vertical lines on the often-neglected neck and décolleté areas

Re-Focus Firming Eye Serum
Formulated for the delicate skin around the eye, serving to reduce puffiness, diminish the visible appearance of dark circles and discoloration, and target crow’s feet

Re-Quench Anti Age Defense Intensive Moisture Treatment
Deep hydration and triple action anti-aging benefits help shield the skin against damaging free-radical attack, and Vitamin A and E anti-oxidants offer overall skin protection

Perfexture Triple Enzyme Skin Peel
Made from natural pear puree, papaya extract, micro-grain and lactic acid, the peel dissolves dead surface skin cells, to uncover fresher looking skin

All product details, from the refreshing ginger scent, to the quick-absorbing application of the creams and serums, were selected by Vanessa who used her own personal struggle with skin problems to find the right combination for women everywhere. “Texture matters to me whenever I put a product on my face, so I’ve created rich, luxurious blends with a smooth complex for the collection, giving a weightless feeling I know everyone will love,” says Williams.

Vanessa Williams ReVitalistic Skincare will be available exclusively on QVC and online at www.QVC.com.

Tune into The Lisa Robertson Show August 3rd from 8-10 PM to watch Vanessa discuss ReVitalistic Skincare.

Vanessa Williams on “Kitchen Cousins”

Vanessa Williams appears on “Kitchen Cousins” this week in an episode where she hopes to surprise her brother, actor Chris Williams, with a newly designed kitchen.

This clip is an out-take where Vanessa is surprised to hear the design has taken a turn different than expected. When the guys break up at after the director yells “cut,” we realize Vanessa was bringing some “Wilhelmina Slater” diva humor to the table.

Vanessa Williams recently arranged for HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins (Anthony Carrino & John Colaneri) to help surprise her brother Chris by doing a make-over on the kitchen at his Los Angeles home.

See what happens at the preliminary creative meeting when the guys take it upon themselves to change the room without first getting Vanessa’s approval on the plans.

International Press Academy’s Satellite Awards event honoring Brian Edwards

With Brian Edwards and his Satellite Award from the Internationals Press Academy

What a terrific event.  Brian Edwards was honored for his work in client relations at the International Press Academy’s Satellite Awards event last night.

Some of the famous folk attending included Vanessa Williams, Cindy Crawford, Pam Tillis, Nita Whitaker and Sasha Cohen.

The award presentation included video greetings from Joan Rivers, Whoopi Goldberg, Ali Landry and many others.

I had a great time catching up with Vanessa, especially about Broadway theater – comparing notes of what we’ve seen so far, friends being nominated for awards, and what we still want to make sure we see. Once you’ve lived in the theater, it’s in your blood. There’s just no losing that passion.

Vanessa also sang an impromptu a cappella version of “Happy Days Are Here Again” in honor of Brian that was amazing.  What a voice.  She sounded great.
