Parody: Randy Rainbow Ponders ‘How Will You Vote?’

Randy Rainbow turns in this musical rumination on which presidential candidate to vote for (hint – yeah, you already know the answer) set to the tune of Enchanted’s “How Will You Know?” Rainbow first ticks off some of Donald Trump’s, umm, qualities:

Well, does he give a flying f**k about whether you live or die? Cover-up his crimes and wish them all away? Does he lock children in cages? Act like Nazis are okay? That’s how you know, that’s how you know that he’s the one.

And then’s there’s his assessment of Joe Biden:

Does he leave you little clues that let you know he’s not insane? Have a plan in place you know he’ll carry through? If he isn’t porkin’ Putin and he pays his taxes, too That’s how you know, that’s how you know he’s the one.

In the end, it all comes down to “One’s an incompetent toddler, the other one’s name is Joe, that’s why it’s Joe – He’s the one.”

Randy Rainbow’s Musical Tribute To Harris: “Kamala!”

Randy Rainbow serves up a musical homage to Democratic vice-presidential pick Kamala Harris set to the title tune of the 1960 Tony Award-winning Lerner and Loewe musical, Camelot.

And though Trump calls her phony, mean and nasty There’s no doubt she’s more qualified than he She sold me when I saw her come for Kavanaugh For no one makes a grown man cry like she can Kamala!

Parody: Randy Rainbow ‘Gee, Anthony Fauci!’

Political satirist Randy Rainbow offers his satirical take on the iconic West Side Story showstopper, “Gee, Officer Krupke,” as a homage to the United States’ leading expert on infectious diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci. “Gee, Anthony Fauci!” lampoons Donald Trump’s attempts to diminish or disregard Fauci’s efforts to get the U.S. through the deadly COVID-19 pandemic with some total zingers. Appealing to Fauci about the Donald, Randy sings:

Hey, Anthony Fauci, he’s dragging us south Forget the mask just slap some masking tape on his mouth While you help protect us, he prays it will pass He only covers his own ass

You can find my previous coverage of Randy’s clever parodies here.

Parody: Randy Rainbow Wants Donald Trump To “Cover Your Freakin’ Face!”

Political satirist Randy Rainbow has some good advice for Donald Trump in his clever parody of “Put On A Happy Face” from the classic Broadway musical, Bye Bye Birdie. In his health-conscious iteration of the tune – “Cover Your Freakin’ Face!” – Rainbow addresses Trump’s avoidance of face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic even though the federal government’s experts say it’s an important safety measure in tamping down the spread of the virus.

Please don’t politicize it, Don’t be a putz like Pence Don’t sit and scrutinize it, It’s only common sense Don’t spread droplets all over the place Cover your freakin’ face

Randy Rainbow’s Satirical Take On #BunkerBoy Trump

Inspired by reports that Donald Trump was moved to a bunker as protests surged outside the White House – which sparked the hashtag #BunkerBoy on social media – political satirist Randy Rainbow offers his take on the situation with a parody of ‘The Jitterbug,’ a tune from the stage production of The Wizard of Oz. In the video, Rainbow is searching for the Donald, who’s nowhere to be found. Trump is eventually discovered hiding behind a heavy security door, peeking through a small window.

Randy Rainbow Parodies Mary Poppins ‘A Spoon Full Of Clorox’

Political satirist Randy Rainbow is on top of his game as he releases his response to Donald Trump’s (non-sarcastic) suggestion that injecting patients with disinfectants might be a possible treatment. Set to the tune of “A Spoonful Of Sugar,” from Disney’s 1964 classic, Mary Poppins, Rainbow’s clever lyrics are on point as usual. Wikipedia notes that the tune’s lyricist, Robert Sherman, wrote the song after arriving home to find his children had received their polio vaccine, which was delivered in a sugar cube.

Parody: Randy Rainbow Croons Grease-Tastic “Andy!”

Political satirist Randy Rainbow offers this Grease-tastic take on Danny Zuko’s “Sandy,” as the wily wordsmith croons his love for “Andy!” as in New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has been a steadying force during the ongoing health crisis.

Baby, someday, when COVID’s not a thing If we’re on Earth, for what it’s worth I hope they make you king. You run my state while I gain weight with grace and dignity Oh please, be my dad Oh, Andy

Over the bridge, Rainbow professes: “Andy my darling, this global pandemic is scaring me real bad. But watching your daily press briefings sure does calm me down. “The way you manage to lead and inform without terrifying the living sh*t out of me or straying from the facts. And still find time to nurture my delicate spirit with adorable slide shows and relatable anecdotes about meatballs. “You’re wise, levelheaded, eloquent and sexy and a time when the world needs it most. It sure is a refreshing change from that mother— aw gee, I won’t get into specifics.” Super clever, and perfect for a Monday.

Satire: Randy Rainbow Finds Wisdom In Lloyd Webber ‘Any Dem Will Do’

Randy Rainbow (screen capture)
As we head into Super Tuesday, political satirist Randy Rainbow looks to the wisdom of the Lloyd Webber canon to help us find our way past the gaffes, blunders, missteps and exits among the Democratic candidates. In a mash-up of “Any Dream Will Do” and “Coat of Many Colors” from the hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Rainbow underscores the one definitive truth for Democrats this election cycle: “Any Dem Will Do.” As usual, Rainbow’s wordsmithing is on point and clever. “How will I choose / It’s like the lotto / But here’s my motto / Any Dem will do” Start your day with a bit of Randy. (Hey, I like the sound of that…)

Parody: Randy Rainbow ‘There Are No Rules For Donald’

Political satirist Randy Rainbow is back to brighten our week with his new video, “No Rules For Donald.” The song is a parody of the smash hit “New Rules” by Dua Lipa. As some of the commenters on the YouTube page noted, this is slightly darker than earlier parodies which is perhaps as it should be. There’s not much funny about this situation anymore.
