Lady Gaga makes surprise appearance at NYC Pride kickoff
Lady Gaga made an impromptu appearance at the kickoff of NYC Pride last night at Pier 26.
Giving props to Edie Windsor and Cher – appropriately so – she also treated the gays to a full-throated rendition of the National Anthem (with a slight nod to the marriage equality movement).
Check out the voice here, kids. Clearly not some “studio-processed” voice here. Go Gaga!
Happy Pride, NYC.
Happy Pride everyone!
Let’s dance.
Cher says she’s “disappointed” Lady Gaga doesn’t like their duet
A fan asked Cher on Twitter about her recorded duet with Lady Gaga – “The Greatest Thing,” saying fans have been waiting a long time.
Cher tweeted, “U Think You’ve Waited? It’s done & she doesn’t like it, or want it to come out.”
Cher brought up her concerns on The Voice last night, saying: ”I did a song with Gaga and I think it’s brilliant and I thought her performance was great but she doesn’t like it.”
Is Cher respecting Gaga’s artistic feelings? Or mocking her?
Can’t tell…

Lady Gaga’s “Little Monsters” – Madonna is a “major reason” for AIDS
Well, how hideous is this?
Lady Gaga’s fans feel that Madonna should NOT be presenting Anderson Cooper with his GLAAD Vito Russo Award. So much so that they have sent letters and started petitions saying Madonna is, in part, responsible for the AIDS epidemic.
Dear GLAAD:
It has come to the attention to Little Monsters everywhere that you are letting Madonna give an award to Anderson Cooper. Not only is this an insult to a true gay rights activist like Lady Gaga, but it insults every gay man and woman on this planet.
Madonna is one of the major reasons for AIDS. Back in the 1980’s, she encouraged gay men to have unprotected sex. While she certainly didn’t start the disease, she and her lack of morals helped it spread.
Please rethink your choice of having Madonna as a presenter. If you don’t, we Little Monsters will strike back in a way you won’t like.
Sincerely,
Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters
This is seriously HIDEOUS behavior on the part of Gaga fans. I can’t imagine that Lady Gaga would support such outrageous statements.
Just ugly. Madonna has been at the forefront of promoting safe sex for decades.
I’ll just stop, actually. I won’t defend anything. The facts are facts. And Lady Gaga’s fans are a sorry lot to throw such crap out there thanks to their “competition” they have in their heads between the two superstars.
Sad.
Lady Gaga’s “Fame the fragrance” trailer
So, while I admire the artist that is Lady Gaga (most of the time) this trailer has me a little perplexed.
I think of a fragrance as something you wear that someone physically close to you can enjoy. Something that’s romantic.
This video, produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Steven Klein, who helmed Gaga’s “Alejandro” video, features the superstar emerging from a black liquid bath and eventually ruling over an army of men.
Thoughts anyone? Am I just not getting it?

Lindsay Lohan to star in new Lady Gaga video?
The NY Post’s Page Six is reporting Lindsay Lohan may be starring in an upcoming music video for Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP:
Lindsay Lohan’s already landed the next role in her acting comeback: starring in an upcoming Lady Gaga music video off the singer’s anticipated album, “ARTPOP,” sources say.
“Lady Gaga and Lindsay caused a stir last month when they had their ‘sleepover’ at the Chateau [Marmont],” a Hollywood insider told us, adding, “and now it turns out that Lindsay will be starring in Gaga’s new video from her upcoming album.”
But the potential Gaga gig represents a more mainstream opportunity. “Due to Gaga’s superstar status, this would be Lindsay’s biggest [role] by far in many, many years,” a source said.
But others wonder why Gaga’s involving Lohan. “Why this huge artist — who could literally have anyone she wants — chose someone currently at the bottom of the Hollywood food chain remains a mystery,” one observer sniffed.
My thoughts on “Hair” from A Very Gaga Thanksgiving
So while I enjoy a lot of Lady Gaga, I may not be the biggest ‘little monster’ out here.
BUT – I loved this and I really encourage you to listen to her message here, and the lyrics.
When I hear some members of the LGBT community criticize the more “out there” gays and lesbians – whether it’s their dress, their demeanor, or their hair – I cringe.
Somedays, I think one of the best parts of being gay is that those of us that are openly gay accept that we may be ‘different.’ In doing so, we acknowledge how truly different we ALL are. And that makes the world a better place.
I don’t want a world where a Nazi regime encourages assimilation. Different colors, races, spices, flavors – and yes, hair – make this the interesting, brilliant, fantastic world it is.
And we’re all just making our way through this bright, colorful world. The brighter it is, the clearer we can see which way to go.
Forward.
