Lady Gaga has released the latest single from her album ARTPOP, a duet with R. Kelly called “Do What U Want”.
Through a series of tweets before it’s release last night at midnight Lady Gaga sent the message that “i dont need anybodys permission to be remembered. I will be. Whether they like it or not”

Lady Gaga put a Wizard of Oz spin on her new single “Applause,” switching from Dorothy to Glinda on Good Morning America this morning.
She sat down for an interview with Robin Roberts and Lara Spencer afterward in which she explained the performance:
“All of these outfits and wigs that I’ve been changing in over the years. This is my way of surviving. This is my way of getting to Oz to have all my dreams come true. Whatever we had to do to get past the evil monkeys and the Wicked Witch, Dorothy was able to transform in order to survive. By transforming into Glinda and then transforming at the end into the wizard who was just Dorothy herself, me.”
Lady Gaga performed an hour of new music from her upcoming album ARTPOP at the 2013 iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse in London, UK.
Among songs performed were “Aura,” “Jewels and Drugs” (feat. T.I., Twista and Too $hort), “ARTPOP,” “Sex Dreams,” “Manicure,” “Swine” and “I Wanna Be With You,” plus the lead single “Applause.”
The little monsters seem thrilled. Thoughts?

The superstar kickstarted the Sunday night awards show with a dramatic world premiere performance of her latest single.
Don’t miss Gaga’s return to the stage for the world premiere performance of “Applause” on the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards! The show airs at 9pm on Sunday, August 25th.
