Trailer: “Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday”

Premiering March 18th on Netflix, Paul Reubens brings “Pee-Wee Herman” back to celluloid life to remind us that it’s just fine to be different in Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday.

Bonus points here as Randy Report favorite Joe Manganiello co-stars as a mysterious, chocolate shake-drinking stranger who encourages Pee-Wee to get out and LIVE a bit.

For those of you who wonder how “Pee-Wee” seems to stay eternally youthful,  Reubens told Business Insider recently that Netflix spent about $2 million on digital retouching.

Said Reubens, “Pee-wee doesn’t work, to me, with age mixed into it.”

Magic Mike XXL Grosses $27 Million In Opening Weekend

The Channing Tatum-led Magic Mike XXL look to land at the #4 position at the box office this weekend, behind Inside Out, Jurassic World and Terminator: Genisys.

From Variety.com:

Warner’s stripper sequel “Magic Mike XXL” wound up with $27 million at 3,355 sites for the five days, with a 96% female audience. Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer reprised their roles from the 2012 sleeper hit. Performance was front-loaded with $15 million in its first two days but with a budget of just $14.8 million, “Magic Mike XXL” is already in the black for the studio.

The original “Magic Mike” opened on the June 29-July 1 weekend three years ago with a stunning $39.1 million on its way to a $113 million domestic total.

Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out smoked the competition even in it’s third week of release with over $45 million in domestic box office.

MAGIC MIKE XXL Teaser: Matt Bomer Sings “Heaven”

Matt Bomer in MAGIC MIKE XXL

The folks behind the MAGIC MIKE XXL flick unleashed a new weapon to promote the upcoming film today: Matt Bomer singing the 1980s hit “Heaven” by Bryan Adams.

Check him out crooning in the short clip below.

(I know, I know – he SINGS too?)

Happy Friday!

I have no idea how this pic of Joe Manganiello got here… 🙂

Shirtless Magic Mike XXL Stars Cover Entertainment Weekly

A shirtless trio of MAGIC MIKE XXL stars – Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer – grace the cover of Entertainment Weekly in advance of the the upcoming July 1st premiere of the hit movie sequel.

A bit odd looking as it’s clearly a composite, but nice to see the shirtless view 🙂

Morning Joe

Details Magazine shares additional images from Joe Manganiello’s recent photo shoot.

In the interview Details asked if he minded “being treated like eye candy?” His response:

“Why would I?” he says. “I don’t think men care why women like them, as long as they do. That’s the point of the nerd in high school who makes it big. You work that hard for a reason. You want to have access to the dating pool.”

Cosmopolitan Demonstrates What Is “Magic” About MAGIC MIKE XXL

The good news – MAGIC MIKE XXL released a new movie poster today in advance of the upcoming July 1st release date, and it’s totally working for me.

And just to show why they’ve got the “magic,” Cosmopolitan did their own photoshoot with average guys recreating the film’s posters. The exercise clearly demonstrates that a pose does not “magic” make.

Unfortunately, everyone can’t be a “Magic Mike.” Take a look at the photo shoot vid below.
