Funny: ‘Bad Boy’ Takes Care Of ‘Daddy Scott’

Artie O’Daly is back with a new episode of his popular ‘Bad Boy’ web series. This is the 11th installment of O’Daly’s off-beat, wild and wacky world of ‘Bad Boys’ where no one really seems to be following anyone else’s conversation. The short film opens ‘Bad Boy’ Jim (Drew Canan) explaining a faux robbery he attempted naked and armed with just his hot dog. Cue the series of weiner jokes peppered throughout the clip. Scott (‘Daddy Scott’) played by O’Daly isn’t feeling great, so he shuts down work early. Jim immediately jumps into action to take care of Scott providing tissues, furry cuddle buddy, and some pills. What kind of pills? Who knows? Jim also offers to rub Scott’s chest with VapoRub, which somehow leads to pouring baby oil on his own chest and rubbing things around. Cue the 70s porn music. Along the way there’s a worker at the door who wants to work on Scott’s ‘crack,’ and Aunt Whitney may (or may not) have a dead paramour upstairs. Props to O’Daly for his consistently off-kilter dialogue that keeps the ‘Bad Boys’ universe so quirky and entertaining. You can check out my previous coverage of the ‘Bad Boy’ series here.

Pete Davidson: I Used To Get Off To Leo DiCaprio

In an interview with Paper Magazine, SNL’s Pete Davidson (he who almost became Mr. Ariana Grande) was asked about what it feels like be a sex symbol and realize you are someone’s “sexual awakening.” In response, Davidson reveals a surprising tidbit from his past. “Well, I used to jerk off to Leonardo DiCaprio,” said the funny man before clarifying, “Uhh, like his acting.” “I used to have a HUGE crush on Leonardo DiCaprio,” he continued. “I had this huge poster of him from The Beach in my room, and there used to be, like, ‘Leo love books’… Do you remember? Like, right when Titanic came out [when I was] in like third or fourth grade, he was just like, ‘teen milk.’ There were love books and I had all of them. He was the coolest.” Davidson has since met the Academy Award & Golden Globe winner, but kept the encounters brief. “I’ve met him twice and I’ve just shaken hands and run away fast.” Now, we all know it’s possible to crush on an artist for his talent, so let’s leave it at that.

Davidson is also asked about having lots of gay friends and being an LGBTQ ally, and he gushes in his response. “Well, nothing’s cooler to me than seeing my friends crush it,” says the 26-year-old comic. “I also have the most talented friends ever. And I think my friends are a good reflection of me… anybody that I fuck with is sweet and morally sound, you know?” I find it super weird that it’s weird that a straight dude has gay friends,” he adds. “Like, some straight dudes do have gay friends, but like they make like a big show of it as opposed to them genuinely being a friend.” Davidson has also noticed how some pop stars seem to “use gay men as props,” and he has an opinion about that. “If you really listen to any of the songs that they’re doing, or any of the things that they’re doing, it’s to promote them[selves]. It’s rarely for the LGBT community. It’s to make them look good. Like, how cool they are that they’re hanging out with gay people.” You can read more of Davidson’s candid interview over at PaperMag.com.

Bottles & Beefcake At The ‘Bad Boy’ Group Session

L-R Drew Canan, Artie O’Daly (screen capture)
Artie O’Daly is back with the latest installment of his Bad Boy web series. The episode opens on Scott (O’Daly) at the LGBT Center where he’s in session with his counselor Jamila (Julia Pace). Scott is frustrated his agent isn’t happy with the state of his most current movie script. “Do we please others or do we please ourselves?,” asks Jamila before offering some homespun advice. “I’m going to tell you something my mama told me: if you’re eating dinner and a friend stops by don’t share too much of your food. Uh-uh, cause then you’ll end up ordering pizza and that’ll take 30 minutes to get there.” Yeah, it didn’t make sense to Scott either. Before a real solution for Scott’s problem can be found, ‘bad boy’ BJ (Braden Davis) wanders in. It seems he always accompanies his mother to her AA meetings because “she’s usually too drunk to drive home after.” And since this is a group thing (psst – it isn’t) he has a problem he’d like to share. It seems his uncle tragically died last week on his farm where he sneezed right before going peacefully. Or, ‘piece-fully’ since the sneeze caused him to lose his balance and accidentally fall into the wood chipper. You know how that happens… Jamila has some sage advice from her mama on this one too: “Sometimes a door opens up and you can walk on through it, or you can stay where you are cause you’re going to be fine either way.” Mama had a way with words, don’t you know? But we can’t ruminate too long on that one because that AA meeting is over, so BJ’s mom Whitney (Theresa Ryan) joins the fun. And – surprise – she has a problem, too. She was apparently squatting in an empty house until ‘these people moved in,’ and now she’s having to hide/sleep in their closet. And before Jamila can solve that quandary, beefcake ‘bad boy’ Jim (Drew Canan) finds the fun. It seems he was having an HIV test because he likes to be sexually responsible. Wait – was that something that actually made sense??? Jim is still coping with the aforementioned tragic wood chipper death of his dad, but taking it well. “He’s on to greener pastures now, at least that’s where I heard they found him,” shares Jim. Not to give too much away, but like everyone we meet in O’Daly’s wacky ‘Bad Boy’ universe, you can’t trust that anyone is exactly who they seem to be. Hit play to see how the ‘session’ comes to a close. I’ve covered previous episodes of the clever (but often confounding) ‘Bad Boy’ web series here.

YouTube personality Christian Hull (screen captures)
Have you ever made a purchase that made you so excited you didn’t know what to do with yourself? Comedian and YouTube personality Christian Hull, based in Melbourne, Australia, is clearly beside himself after buying a folding board for t-shirts online. “I have never been more entertained in my life with the most boring and mundane task of folding t-shirts,” announces Hull. “This is so fun!” squeals the comedian as he demonstrates his new discovery. “And then all you do is go ‘boosh, boosh, boosh….Oh, oh, oh look how neatly it’s folded!!!” He adds, “I can’t tell you – this has been the most fun I’ve ever had!” Hull’s over-the-top joy  – “One of the single greatest moments in my life!!!” – cannot be contained and it’s charming.

In two days, the clip has been viewed over 7 million times and been ‘Liked’ on Twitter over 644,000 times. Of course, savvy Big Bang Theory fans recalled the device being featured in a scene with Jim Parsons:

Readers, have you ever made a purchase that made you squeal with such delight? Sometimes, it’s the little things. Happy Monday, everyone!

Michael Henry & Matt Wilkas Explore ‘The Gay Hello’

Matt Wilkas and Michael Henry in ‘The Gay Hello’
When Michael Henry meets his friend ‘Kevin’ (Matt Wilkas of the web series Matt & Dan) during a walk in the park, a ‘cheek kiss’ hello becomes a matter of scrutiny for Henry. The greeting takes Henry aback leading him to ask, “What was that? That kiss. Was that romance?” Kevin explains he greets all of his friends with cheek kisses – including ‘straight Paul.’ “Little kisses are just a friendly way for two men to show they are ok with being seen as gay in public,” adds Kevin. Henry has previously explored issues like ‘pretty privilege’ and masculine/femme aspects of gay life in other videos.

Funny: Michael Henry Explains ‘This Is How You Handle A Breakup’

Funnyman Michael Henry shares this short clip on “How to handle a breakup.” No, not your breakup - your friends’ breakup.
Michael Henry know just how to handle a break-up

Funnyman Michael Henry shares this short clip on “How to handle a breakup.”

No, not your breakup – your friends’ breakup.

It seems time is of the essence since ‘Ken’ and ‘Joe’ hid the skids two days ago, which means Henry needs to spring into action to try and snatch up one of the wounded lovers asap.

Apparently, Ken and Joe like to go from relationship to relationship, so they are prime targets for Henry’s amorous approach.

Why you ask?

Because, according to Henry, recently uncoupled gays are already trained in many areas: how to be partnered, how to be affectionate, how to share, how to compromise, and more.

Plus, fresh out of a relationship, either Ken or Joe might need a “young, supple, fresh, firm shoulder for them to shed their tears on,” and Henry thinks he has just the shoulder to offer.

But apparently, for all of this to work, there has to be a masterplan to orchestrate the new relationship without being obvious.

To see how ‘evil genius’ Michael Henry calculates the best way to seize the day, hit play below or click over to YouTube here.

Laughs aside, has anyone ever seen anything remotely like to this in real life? Do love-hungry gays swoop in when a duo splits up?
