Bradley Cooper goes commando at the White House

Ok, Bradley Cooper is pretty charming in these clips from his appearance on ELLEN today.

In the first clip, he chats on being invited to a recent state dinner at the White House for French President Francois Hollande. All excited, he went to get dressed the night of the dinner and found his pants were very, very tight due to weight gain for a current film role.  No room in the pants meant going “commando.”  And it gets funnier from there.

In the second clip, he talks on being nominated two years in a row for an Oscar and his dilemma of being allowed only one guest and who he should bring to the big night.

Very charming. No wonder he’s a star.

Ellen DeGeneres welcomes The Creampies

Ellen welcomes the hunky, cute and shirtless The Cream Pies

After a cute hip-hop video by four hunky guys about Ellen DeGeneres went viral, you knew Ellen HAD to have them on her show.

During the interview, Ellen asks where they came up with the group’s name and it turns out the four guys hang out at a donut shop in their hometown.  Perusing the menu, they considered names like “The Custard Sticks” and “The Chocolate Eclairs.”  Ellen informed them she liked the choice they went with.

And creativity pays off – Ellen is sending the guys to Las Vegas to say “thanks” for the song!

If you missed the original song/video – here it is:

Promo for Ellen Degeneres hosting Oscars – “Here We Go”

New Oscars trailer starring host Ellen DeGeneres and 250 tuxedo-clad men and women dancing to “The Walker” by indie pop band Fitz and The Tantrums.

The choreography is pretty amazing in terms of keeping the kids moving, adding in, and clean with great energy.  Broadway’s Jerry Mitchell would be proud – “Full out!”

Ellen takes on Hallmark for “Don we now our FUN apparel”

Ellen Degeneres took on Hallmark and their recent fumble as they introduced an new Christmas tree ornament with a popular holiday lyric – BUT they changed a word: “Don we now our FUN apparel.”

Several people feel the greeting card giant made an unusually political statement by changing the lyric.

The company, which is more known for apolitical greeting cards wishing a boss a happy retirement, issued a statement to media outlets explaining the history of the song dating back to the 1880s, a time “when “gay” meant festive or merry.”

“Today it has multiple meanings, which we thought could leave our intent open to misinterpretation,” the statement said. “The trend of wearing festively decorated Christmas sweaters to parties is all about fun, and this ornament is intended to play into that, so the planning team decided to say what we meant: “fun.” That’s the spirit we intended and the spirit in which we hope ornament buyers will take it.”

Ellen DeGeneres to host 2014 Academy Awards

Ellen DeGeneres will be the host for this year’s Oscars.

DeGeneres announced the news Friday morning on Twitter, writing, “It’s official: I’m hosting the #Oscars! I’d like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra.”

DeGeneres has previously hosted the show in 2007 and earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for her work.

“I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say — the third time’s the charm,” DeGeneres said in a statement.

Producers Zadan and Meron had this to say:

“We are thrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres host the Oscars. As a longtime friend, we had always hoped to find a project for us to do together and nothing could be more exciting than teaming up to do the Oscars.

“There are few stars today who have Ellen’s gift for comedy, with her great warmth and humanity. She is beloved everywhere and we expect that the audience at the Dolby Theatre, and in homes around the globe, will be as excited by this news as we are.”
