Ellen comes up with a “super-scientific” way to predict the winner of the World Series between the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals.

And I like it.

Whichever guys collects the most money in their shorts before the music ends will be the team to win the World Series.

Guess which team is predicted to win via Ellen’s “super-scientific” method?

Of course, as Ellen notes, we are all winners for watching.

Boy Culture shares the news that “Nick the Gardener” of ELLEN fame now has his own Facebook page.

Nick Reilich (real name) posted today, “Hey friends! After a few fun stops on Ellen, I’ve decided “Nick” needs his own page! I’ll be posting all my endeavours to this page in the future!”

Nick is a crucial part of the ELLEN show as he not only tends to the plants on set, but also submits jokes for Classic Joke Wednesdays.  Unfortunately, Classic Joke Wednesdays were cancelled as a segment this year.  Watch how upset Nick gets when told the bad news.

Ellen and Kristen Wiig sing “Let It Go” without knowing the words

Quick set-up:

Kristen Wiig visits Ellen.

 Noting the popularity of the song “Let It Go” from Frozen, both acknowledge they do not know the words.

So – of course, why not try to sing it?

During one musical passage Wiig runs and hides behind a chair for no discernible reason other than interpretive dance…?

Wiig also notes, as I have every time I heard the song, that kids don’t know what “fractals” are 🙂

Catholic school recalls party invitations featuring image of Ellen DeGeneres

A Pennsylvania Catholic school is in apology mode to parents after recalling party invitations that feature “poor role model” Ellen DeGeneres.

Not only are the invitations being “recalled” – but the principal is promising to destroy the returned invitations:

It was “completely wrong” to use DeGeneres’ picture because the lesbian celebrity “lives her life outside the teachings of the Catholic Church,” St. Andrew Elementary School principal Nancy Matteo wrote in an email to parents on Tuesday.

In the email, Matteo says she was “obviously NOT thinking” when she let the invitation to the June 8 dance be distributed with DeGeneres’ photo.

“Perhaps I was distracted by the Oscar,” she wrote, calling the entertainer a “poor role model.”

“A role model, as defined by Webster’s Dictionary, is a person who is unusually effective or inspiring in some social role, job, position, etc.,” the email says. “This does not describe her at all. We work so hard to be good role models and then I go and do something stupid!”

Ellen DeGeneres teaming up with HGTV for “Ellen’s Design Challenge” in 2015

Ellen DeGeneres is taking her love of furniture and home design to HGTV to produce a six part series called, appropriately, “Ellen’s Design Challenge.” This will be Ellen’s first project produced for cable.

The show, which will premiere in 2015, will feature six competitors tackling challenges in sketching, designing and building furniture within 24 hours. Contestants must showcase their creativity and versatility to impress a panel of judges. The last one standing will take home a cash prize.

Designers will have the assistance of an expert carpenter to help complete the challenges.
