Megyn Kelly: Must Trump Help His Detractors So “Generously?”

Fox News host Megyn Kelly finds Donald Trump’s urges to rehash his own controversies on a daily basis mind-blowing.

From mocking a disabled reporter, believing he saw folks celebrate the attack on 9/11, to even his feud with her, Kelly finds it all baffling.

Clip description:

Megyn Kelly really went off tonight after running a montage of all the past controversies he’s gotten himself into––including the one involving her––and giving the media more ammo with which to attack him.

She cried, “What is he doing relitigating every controversy from the primary season?!” Ben Domenech said the idea of the Trump campaign being in turmoil isn’t news because it’s kind of a constant.

Kelly also pointed out that, despite Trump bragging about it, ramps for the disabled are mandatory. Trump supporter David Wohl pointed out how expensive they are. Kelly literally buried her head in her hands and deadpanned, “Oh, good God.”

She said she understands that the media is biased against Trump, but, Kelly cried, “Must he help them?! Must he help them so generously every day?!”

Hillary Leads Trump 10 Points In Latest Fox News Poll

Democrat Hillary Clinton has opened up a 10 point lead in the latest Fox News national poll – 49% to Donald Trump’s 39%.

Now, you know if ANY polling firm would “skew right,” it would be these folks. So that makes this even more impressive.

While Trump leads with the male demographic by 5 points, Hillary is polling strong with

• women by 23 points (57-34 percent)

• blacks by 83 (87-4 percent)

• Hispanics by 48 (68-20 percent)

• voters under 30 by 18 (49-31 percent)

With the latest polls factored in, this is super-stats guy Nate Silver’s latest “polls only” prediction for Election Day 2016:

Trump Spokesperson: “Gay Is Not Normal – Accept That”

Surprising no one, Donald “Ask the Gays” Trump’s spokesperson Katrina Pierson turns out to be not so friendly to “the gays.”

Dominic Holden of Buzzfeed finds several anti-LGBT comments in Pierson’s Twitter history, such as the one below.

When asked about the tweets Pierson replied:

“It’s a long reach to go back to 2012 to try to create a new hit piece and call it relevant,” Pierson wrote to BuzzFeed News in an email. “You’ll also find that as a grassroots volunteer for multiple campaigns, it’s quite common that Twitter is a platform to promote/defend the policies and values of the candidates at the time. Many times, it’s about engaging trolls which can lead to humorous and sarcastic banter.”

Saying “it’s a long reach to go back to 2012” is an interesting comments considering the entire Trump campaign against Hillary Clinton is about “reaching back” much, much further than 4 years.

This Was Donald Trump’s Tuesday

From NBC News’ Chuck Todd, this is what Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s past 24 hours were like.

  • In a Washington Post interview, Trump declined to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan against his primary challenger
  • He reiterated that he hasn’t endorsed Sen. John McCain and said the onetime prisoner of war “has not done a good job for the vets”
  • He slapped out at Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte, saying “she has given me zero support”
  • He suggested that Americans should pull their 401(k) funds out of the stock market
  • He said he’s “always wanted” to receive a Purple Heart but that having one gifted to him by a supporter was “much easier”
  • He said that the handling of sexual harassment has “got to be up to the individual”
  • He accused Khizr Khan of being “bothered” by his plan to keep terrorists out of the country, and said that he had no regrets about his clash with the family
  • He appeared to feud with a crying baby during a rally
  • He reiterated that “if the election is rigged, I would not be surprised”
  • The sitting president of the United States publicly called Trump “unfit to serve” and urged Republicans to withdraw their support for him.
  • Trump spokesman Katrina Pierson suggested that Obama and Clinton are to blame for the death of Humayan Khan, who died in 2004, when neither were in the executive branch at the time
  • An ally of Paul Manafort told our colleague John Harwood at CNBC that the campaign chairman is “mailing it in,” leaving the rest of the staff “suicidal.”
  • Sitting GOP congressman Richard Hanna, HP head Meg Whitman and former Christie aide Maria Comella all said they plan to vote for Hillary Clinton
  • The Washington Post released a transcript of its full interview with Trump, indicating among other things that he paused five times to watch TV coverage in the middle of the sit-down
  • A GOP source told NBC’s Katy Tur that Reince Priebus is “apoplectic” over Trump’s refusal to endorse Ryan and is making calls to the campaign to express his “extreme displeasure”

Now, how was YOUR day?

Donald Trump At Campaign Rally: “You Can Get The Baby Out Of Here”

It all started out so well…

From the Washington Post:

“Don’t worry about that baby, I love babies!” he interjected. “I hear that baby crying, I like it! What a baby. What a beautiful baby. Don’t worry, don’t worry. The mom’s running around, like … don’t worry about it, you know? It’s young and beautiful and healthy, and that’s what we want.”

While it is decidedly rare to hear anyone proclaim that they “like” hearing a baby cry, it was a human moment – a move by Trump to say to a mother in the audience: don’t worry about it, we’ll keep the speech moving. And for a minute, he did. Until the baby dared to interrupt his thoughts on China with a second outburst.

“Actually, I was only kidding. You can get the baby out of here,” Trump said. “I think she really believed me, that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking!”

“People don’t understand, but that’s okay,” he added.

Donald Trump: If We Have Nuclear Weapons, Why Can’t We Use Them?

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough reported that during a foreign policy briefing months ago, Donald Trump repeatedly asked experts “Why can’t we use nuclear weapons?”

From the video below:

“Several months ago, a foreign policy expert on an international level went to advise Donald Trump and three times he [Trump] asked about the use of nuclear weapons. Three times he asked, ‘If we have them, why can’t we use them?’ That’s one of the reasons why he just doesn’t have foreign policy experts around him. Three times in an hour briefing, ‘Why can’t we use nuclear weapons?”

First GOP Congressman Announces Support For Hillary

Rep. Richard Hanna

Congressman Richard Hanna has the distinction of being the first Republican member of Congress to publicly declare that he will be voting for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race on November 8.

In a recent interview, Hanna cited the now commonly repeated issue now swirling around the Donald Trump campaign in the race for the White House – that Trump is “unfit to serve our party and cannot lead this country.”

From Talking Points Memo:

“I think Trump is a national embarrassment. Is he really the guy you want to have the nuclear codes?” he asked.

The congressman said that he’s considered voting for Clinton for a few months, and that Trump’s attacks the parents of a deceased Muslim American soldier were the last straw.

“I saw that and felt incensed,” Hanna told Syracuse.com. “I was stunned by the callousness of his comments.”

Hanna also wrote an op-ed on Syracuse.com spelling out why he cannot support Trump and will instead vote for Hillary Clinton.

“Secretary Clinton has issues that depending on where one stands can be viewed as great or small. But she stands and has stood for causes bigger than herself for a lifetime. That matters,” he wrote. “Mrs. Clinton has promoted many of the issues I have been committed to over the years including expanding education and supporting women’s health care.”

“While I disagree with her on many issues, I will vote for Mrs. Clinton. I will be hopeful and resolute in my belief that being a good American who loves his country is far more important than parties or winning and losing,” he added.

UPDATE: Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois has now joined the list of GOP lawmakers who will not vote for Trump.

Trump Spokesperson: Captain Khan Probably Died Because Obama & Clinton

Katrina Pierson, Donald Trump’s spokesperson, told Wolf Blitzer of CNN that Muslim-American Army Captain Humayan Khan probably died because President Obama and Hillary Clinton had “changed the rules of engagement” for US troops.

Captain Khan died in the line of service June 8, 2004.

As I’m sure you know, President Obama didn’t become president until January 20, 2009. Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State for the first four years of Obama’s administration.

How Obama and Clinton could be responsible for a service member’s death in 2004 is beyond me.

I’m not sure Pierson is all there.

Donald Trump Flips Out After President Obama Says Trump Is “Unfit To Serve”

Donald Trump

GOP White House hopeful Donald Trump goes full-on flip out after President Obama told reporters today that Trump was “unfit to serve as president.”

From the Trumpster’s Facebook page:

STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO PRESIDENT OBAMA’S FAILED LEADERSHIP

“Obama-Clinton have single-handedly destabilized the Middle East, handed Iraq, Libya and Syria to ISIS, and allowed our personnel to be slaughtered at Benghazi. Then they put Iran on the path to nuclear weapons. Then they allowed dozens of veterans to die waiting for medical care that never came.

Hillary Clinton put the whole country at risk with her illegal email server, deleted evidence of her crime, and lied repeatedly about her conduct which endangered us all. They released criminal aliens into our country who killed one innocent American after another — like Sarah Root and Kate Steinle — and have repeatedly admitted migrants later implicated in terrorism. They have produced the worst recovery since the Great Depression. They have shipped millions of our best jobs overseas to appease their global special interests. They have betrayed our security and our workers, and Hillary Clinton has proven herself unfit to serve in any government office.

She is reckless with her emails, reckless with regime change, and reckless with American lives. Our nation has been humiliated abroad and compromised by radical Islam brought onto our shores. We need change now.”

President Obama: Donald Trump Is “Unfit To Serve As President”

Without equivocation, President Obama told reporters at a White House news conference that Republican candidate Donald Trump is “unfit to serve as president” and Republican party leaders should withdraw their endorsements of his candidacy.

“The question they have to ask themselves is: If you are repeatedly having to say in very strong terms that what he has said is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?”

The President’s comments follow in the wake of Trump’s ongoing debacle with criticizing the parents of a fallen Muslim-American Army Captain. Trump has been unable to let the story go, and so it keeps living for another day in the news cycle.

Hey Donald – lose the thin skin, and leave the Gold Star family be. You only dig your hole deeper and deeper every time you take a swipe at the Khan family. And you have bigger fish to fry at this point.
