Liar: Trump Boasts “Most Bills Signed Into Law” By First Year President, Actually Lags Behind Modern Presidents

For weeks now, Donald Trump has bragged that he has signed more bills into law of any president in modern times, going back as far as Eisenhower.

But the fact is Trump has signed the fewest bills into law by this point in any modern president’s first year.

The President sits in last place with 96 bills signed into law by his 343rd day in office (today).

That’s 25 fewer than President Obama, 6 fewer than President George W. Bush and not even half as many as presidents Bill Clinton (208):

Donald Trump Shatters First-Year Presidents’ Vacation Days Record

Donald Trump will be thrilled to know that he has shattered at least one record as a first-year president. The Trumpster, who famously campaigned on the promise that he wouldn’t “have time to play golf” if elected president, spent nearly one-third (111 days) of his first year in office on vacation. Most of those were at his own golf properties resulting in a windfall for him financially due to the costs of housing Secret Service, aides and staffers. Royal Wedding Invitations Get Complicated For Harry, Barack & Donald

Problem: what to do when you want to invite your new bestie to your wedding and leave a jerk out of the whole event?

Doesn’t sound complicated, does it?

But if you happen to be Prince Harry and it’s the Obamas you want to invite to your royal wedding and politics between Donald Trump and the UK are a testy topic…?

Harry and fiancée Meghan Markle find themselves in a bind wanting to invite the Obamas to their big day on May 19, but Trump could throw a temper tantrum if snubbed.

Britain’s relations with Trump’s White House have sunk to their lowest ebb since his election last year.

The property billionaire does not hide his loathing of Mr. Obama and is expected to be enraged if his predecessor gets the coveted call-up when he won’t.

The young Royal couple’s dislike of the new president is well known.

Meghan made disparaging comments about him on social media during his election campaign last year.

There are deep fears among senior Foreign Office and No10 officials that another perceived national snub will make it impossible for Theresa May to meaningfully engage with Trump.

A senior government source said: “Harry has made it clear he wants the Obamas at the wedding, so it’s causing a lot of nervousness.

“Trump could react very badly if the Obamas get to a Royal wedding before he has had a chance to meet the Queen.”

Tuesday’s Trump Twitter Rant

Donald Trump was fairly calm over Christmas Day, sending out a tweet wishing everyone a “great Christmas,” but added “tomorrow it’s back to work in order to Make America Great Again.”

But NBC News reports that Trump headed straight to his golf course this morning.

 “Back to work…”

The Trumpster also took time to take credit for the “repeal” of ObamaCare since the newly-signed tax reform legislation got rid of the Individual Mandate.

Of course, ObamaCare hasn’t been repealed as many components of the healthcare law are still in place like guaranteeing pre-existing conditions, the expansion of Medicaid and allowing young folks to stay on their parents’ insurance to the age of 26.

But, hey, facts are pesky things for the Donald.

Trump also clearly took time out to watch his favorite State propaganda news network, Fox News, where the hosts there must have discussed the “Dossier” calling it “bogus.”

Trumpy is wrong here too as several items in the dossier have been found to be true.

Trump Complains “Despite Only Negative Reporting, We Are Doing Well”

On Christmas Eve, Donald Trump took to Twitter to rant yet again about how he’s not getting enough credit for his “achievements” and how the media ignores how “Big” and “Strong” his “BASE” is.

The Fake News refuses to talk about how Big and how Strong our BASE is. They show Fake Polls just like they report Fake News. Despite only negative reporting, we are doing well – nobody is going to beat us. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

I’ll admit I don’t understand the odd, strange use of capital letters.

What doesn’t make any sense, however, is that the number one source of news for most Americans is (sadly) Fox News which trumpets and fawns over every poo-poo and burp President Cheeto eeks out.

So, if Fox News is constantly sharing glowing reviews of Trump’s work, how can he say there’s “only negative reporting?”

By the way, did I mention Trump’s approval rating per the Gallup Daily Tracking poll is a dismal 38%? It’s pretty much the same story over at the Real Clear Politics job approval average.

Donald Trump To Wealthy Friends: “You All Just Got A LOT Richer”

For months, Donald Trump has continually downplayed any benefit wealthy folks might see from the recently passed GOP Tax Scam.

Over and over, Trump has told anyone who would listen how the tax legislation would hurt him and his rich buddies, and then quickly pivot to refer to the bill as a “middle class” tax cut.

Just one example – here’s Trump on November 29: “This is going to cost me a fortune, this thing. Believe me. Believe. This is not good for me… I have some very wealthy friends – not so happy with me. But that’s OK.”

But this is what the Trumpster had to say to his ultra-rich friends last night at his Mar-a-Lago resort, via CBS News:

President Trump kicked off his holiday weekend at Mar-a-Lago Friday night at a dinner where he told friends, “You all just got a lot richer,” referencing the sweeping tax overhaul he signed into law hours earlier. Mr. Trump directed those comments to friends dining nearby at the exclusive club — including to two friends at a table near the president’s who described the remark to CBS News — as he began his final days of his first year in office in what has become known as the “Winter White House.”

New York Times: Trump Claimed Haitian Immigrants “All Have AIDS,” Nigerians Will “Never Go Back To Their Huts”


 The New York Times is reporting Donald Trump raged through a June Oval Office meeting with senior advisers angry at the level of travel visas issued to what he clearly considered undesirable immigrants saying Haitians “all have AIDS” and Nigerians would never “go back to their huts” once they saw America.

According to six officials who attended or were briefed about the meeting, Mr. Trump then began reading aloud from the document, which his domestic policy adviser, Stephen Miller, had given him just before the meeting. The document listed how many immigrants had received visas to enter the United States in 2017.

More than 2,500 were from Afghanistan, a terrorist haven, the president complained.

Haiti had sent 15,000 people. They “all have AIDS,” he grumbled, according to one person who attended the meeting and another person who was briefed about it by a different person who was there.

Forty thousand had come from Nigeria, Mr. Trump added. Once they had seen the United States, they would never “go back to their huts” in Africa, recalled the two officials, who asked for anonymity to discuss a sensitive conversation in the Oval Office.

The White House has acknowledged the meeting but denied Trump used the words “AIDS” or “huts.”
