NY Times Reports Donald Trump Is No “Self-Made” Man

The New York Times has done a deep dive into Donald Trump’s financial worth based on interviews with his father’s former employees and advisers, as well as more than 100,000 pages of documents describing the inner workings and immense profitability of his empire.

The results of The Times research suggests the Donald is no ‘self-made’ man.

Mr. Trump won the presidency proclaiming himself a self-made billionaire, and he has long insisted that his father, the legendary New York City builder Fred C. Trump, provided almost no financial help.

But The Times’s investigation, based on a vast trove of confidential tax returns and financial records, reveals that Mr. Trump received the equivalent today of at least $413 million from his father’s real estate empire, starting when he was a toddler and continuing to this day.

In Mr. Trump’s version of how he got rich, he was the master dealmaker who broke free of his father’s “tiny” outer-borough operation and parlayed a single $1 million loan from his father (“I had to pay him back with interest!”) into a $10 billion empire that would slap the Trump name on hotels, high-rises, casinos, airlines and golf courses the world over. In Mr. Trump’s version, it was always his guts and gumption that overcame setbacks. Fred Trump was simply a cheerleader.

“I built what I built myself,” Mr. Trump has said, a narrative that was long amplified by often-credulous coverage from news organizations, including The Times.

By age 3, Mr. Trump was earning $200,000 a year in today’s dollars from his father’s empire. He was a millionaire by age 8. By the time he was 17, his father had given him part ownership of a 52-unit apartment building. Soon after Mr. Trump graduated from college, he was receiving the equivalent of $1 million a year from his father. The money increased with the years, to more than $5 million annually in his 40s and 50s.

A lawyer for Trump. Charles J. Harder, issued a statement to the Times saying, “The New York Times’s allegations of fraud and tax evasion are 100 percent false, and highly defamatory.”

“There was no fraud or tax evasion by anyone. The facts upon which The Times bases its false allegations are extremely inaccurate,” Harder added.

Can you imagine the discovery process if Trump sued for defamation? Would be all kinds of fun…

The Late Show: Kim Jong Un Responds To Trump Using The L-Word

Over the weekend at a rally in West Virginia, Donald Trump told his followers that not only do he and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un have a great relationship, they “fell in love.”

However, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert seems to have found proof that the North Korean dictator isn’t exactly on the same page as the Trumpster.

After acknowledging Vega, Trump took a second to tell the crowd, “She’s shocked that I picked her.”

As Vega began to say, “I’m not, thank you…” Trump misheard her and interrupted saying, “That’s ok, I know you’re not thinking, you never do.”

Vega: “I’m sorry?”

Trump: “No, go ahead…” (smirk)

Donald Trump doubled-down on his beleaguered Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh calling Kavanaugh “a gem.”

The Trumpster also indicated the Republicans weighing Kavanaugh’s nomination could not be “nicer,” and that he would have preferred the nominee to have been pushed through more quickly.

This comes in the same morning that a 3rd Kavanaugh accuser came forward to allege she not only witnessed ‘gang rapes’ in which Kavanaugh took part in during high school house parties, but became a victim of those ‘gang rapes.’

Updated: UN General Assembly Laughs As Trump Boasts Of His Achievements

UPDATE – After saying he “didn’t expect that reaction” in the moment, Donald Trump later reversed himself saying, “That was meant to get some laughter.”

NY Times: Rosenstein Suggested Recording Trump To Prove White House Chaos

The New York Times is reporting Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein suggested secretly recording Donald Trump in the White House in the chaotic days following Trump’s firing of former FBI director, James Comey.

The report goes on to say Rosenstein spoke to cabinet members about invoking the 25th Amendment to consider removing Trump from office.

Mr. Rosenstein made these suggestions in the spring of 2017 when Mr. Trump’s firing of James B. Comey as F.B.I. director plunged the White House into turmoil. Over the ensuing days, the president divulged classified intelligence to Russians in the Oval Office, and revelations emerged that Mr. Trump had asked Mr. Comey to pledge loyalty and end an investigation into a senior aide.

Mr. Rosenstein was just two weeks into his job. He had begun overseeing the Russia investigation and played a key role in the president’s dismissal of Mr. Comey by writing a memo critical of his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation. But Mr. Rosenstein was caught off guard when Mr. Trump cited the memo in the firing, and he began telling people that he feared he had been used.

Mr. Rosenstein made the remarks about secretly recording Mr. Trump and about the 25th Amendment in meetings and conversations with other Justice Department and F.B.I. officials. Several people described the episodes in interviews over the past several months, insisting on anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. The people were briefed either on the events themselves or on memos written by F.B.I. officials, including Andrew G. McCabe, then the acting bureau director, that documented Mr. Rosenstein’s actions and comments.

As Republicans called for Rosenstein’s firing,  Fox News host Sean Hannity warned the story could be a ‘set-up.’

Trump Finally Breaks Loose And Attacks Kavanaugh Accuser

After what must have been an excrutiating week, Donald Trump finally tore off his muzzle and began blaming the alleged victim of sexual assault of Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

After what must have been an excruciating week for the Donald, President Trump finally tore off his muzzle and began blaming Christine Ford, the alleged victim of sexual assault of Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

On Twitter today, Trump wrote, “I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!”

As anyone who’s spent a minute reading on sexual assault, victims often don’t report the incidents due to shame or fear of becoming the victim all over again by having the story turned against them.

And speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday, Trump wondered aloud, “Why didn’t somebody call the FBI 36 years ago?”

Trump Rips AG Jeff Sessions: “I Don’t Have An Attorney General – It’s Very Sad”

In a new interview with Hill.tv, Donald Trump eviscerates his own Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, on a multitude of issues.

“I don’t have an Attorney General,” said Trump. “It’s very sad.”

The Trumpster has been angry with Sessions from practically day one of his time in the administration.

Sessions’ original sin was recusing himself from the investigation being led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which infuriated Trump.

“I’m not happy at the border, I’m not happy with numerous things, not just this,” said the president, referring to the recusal.

“I’m so sad over Jeff Sessions because he came to me,” laments Trump. “He was the first Senator that endorsed me. And he wanted to be Attorney General, and I didn’t see it.”

“And then he went through the nominating process and he did very poorly. I mean, he was mixed up and confused, and people that worked with him for, you know, a long time in the Senate were not nice to him, but he was giving very confusing answers. Answers that should have been easily answered. And that was a rough time for him.”

Asked if he is considering firing Sessions, Trump said, “We’ll see how it goes with Jeff. I’m very disappointed in Jeff. Very disappointed.”

Stormy Daniels Goes There About Trump’s Junk In New Memoir

Porn star Stormy Daniels disses Donald Trump’s bedroom abilities in her new memoir, Full Disclosure.

 The Guardian received an advance copy and shares this anecdote about the Trumpster’s now infamous Lake Tahoe tryst with Daniels.

Trump’s bodyguard invites Daniels to dinner, which turns out to be an invitation to Trump’s penthouse, she writes, in a description of alleged events that Daniels has disclosed previously but which in the book are rendered with new and lurid detail. She describes Trump’s penis as “smaller than average” but “not freakishly small.”

“He knows he has an unusual penis,” Daniels writes. “It has a huge mushroom head. Like a toadstool…

“I lay there, annoyed that I was getting fucked by a guy with Yeti pubes and a dick like the mushroom character in Mario Kart…”

“It may have been the least impressive sex I’d ever had, but clearly, he didn’t share that opinion.”

Daniels also writes that when she would see the reality show host on television during the years since the encounter, the memory of her sexual encounter with Trump did not grow fonder.

In fact, she describes her internal monologue as, “‘I had sex with that,’ I’d say to myself. Eech.”

“Mario Kart” and “Toad” instantly began trending on Twitter after The Guardian’s piece hit the internet.

Trump has denied the sexual encounter ever occurred although his former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, paid Daniels $130,000 in ‘hush money’ just weeks before the 2016 presidential election.

Cohen has since pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges.

Donald Trump took to Twitter this morning to repeat his claims of “witch hunt” about the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller which now includes guilty pleas from 5 former Trump associates.

“The illegal Mueller Witch Hunt continues in search of a crime,” Trump whined Sunday morning. “There was never Collusion with Russia, except by the Clinton campaign, so the 17 Angry Democrats are looking at anything they can find.”

“ALSO, not allowed under the LAW!” Trump added, which is perplexing since the investigation was ordered by Trump’s Department of Justice.

Folks continue to speculate that the Trumpster may pardon former campaign chair Paul Manafort or fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions or Special Counsel Robert Mueller in an attempt to end the scandal.

Of course, doing so would only exacerbate the issue.
