Céline Dion Wows Billboard Music Awards With 20th Anniversary Celebration Of “My Heart Will Go On”

Last night Céline Dion wowed the Billboard Music Awards audience with an epic performance of ”My Heart Will Go On” for Titanic’s 20th anniversary.

Her performance wasn’t the only drama on stage, though. With clips of Leonard DiCaprio and Kate Winslet playing behind her, a gorgeous white couture gown by Stephane Rolland, and an enormous chandelier serving to reveal the diva, the moment was full of well-crafted theater.

Watch the master at work below.

Funny: Céline Dion Plays “Wheel of Musical Impressions” On The Tonight Show

Céline Dion, currently promoting her new French language album Encore un soir which drops August 26, showed that she’s game for a good time as she took part in one of Jimmy Fallon’s favorite Tonight Show games “Wheel of Musical Impressions.”

As a “random generator” came up with famous singer/song combinations, Céline delivered her impressions of Cher, Rihanna, and Sia with abandon.

The best moment came as she pulled her hair over her face to deliver a Sia inspired “Hush Little Baby,” and then thanked the audience with her back facing the audience.

The Canadian diva also dropped by The Today Show on Friday, belting out several of her hits. But this beautifully subdued version of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” was particularly artful.

Via TMZ:

Daniel, 59, has been fighting brain, tongue and throat cancer in Celine’s native Montreal according to his sister, Claudette. He’s surrounded by family, including their 89-year-old mother, but it’s so bad the family doesn’t think he’ll make it through another week.

A family rep told HollywoodLife.com that “He was supposed to pass away already. It can happen at any moment.”

My Favorite Thing Today: Jeremy Jordan Sings “It’s All Coming Back To Me”

Broadway’s Jeremy Jordan sings Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back To Me”

On January 9th, Broadway’s biggest belters celebrated the best-selling Canadian music artist in history, Celine Dion, in an evening of epic power ballads, and classic pop tunes at the hot NYC cabaret spot, 54 Below.

The starry cast included Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, “Smash”) who brought his considerable vocal prowess to the enormous pop aria, “It’s All Coming Back To Me.”

Not only does Jordan’s voice soar through the piece, he brings the right balance of humor to moments letting you know he doesn’t take himself too seriously. WE, however, take Jeremy’s uber-talent way serious.

Watch as he delivers passionate vocals and pops of comedic twinkle below. This is my favorite thing today 🙂

The writer of the song, Jim Steinman, had this to say: “As I wrote and produced the song for Celine – I’m very impressed and pleased with JEREMY’S ability to scale the Olympian operatic heights and imbue it with humor, seamlessly! All in all, BRILLIANT!! And thank you.”

By the way, Jeremy co-stars with Into The Woods star Anna Kendrick in the upcoming film adaptation of the cult musical favorite The Last 5 Years. In theaters and VOD February 13.
