Supreme Court Rejects Trump Attempt To Block Release Of White House Docs

The Supreme Court has rejected Donald Trump’s attempt to block the release of White House documents to the House committee investigating the violent January 6 invasion of the U.S. Capitol building.

The 8–1 vote (only Justice Thomas dissented) means the former guy has no legal options left in his efforts to keep the documents, which include visitor logs and presidential diaries, from the House committee.

“Following the high court’s action, there is no legal impediment to turning over the documents, which are held by the National Archives and Records Administration,” reports the Associated Press.
