Prosecutors Play 2016 Clip Of Trump Denying Knowing Female Accusers

Donald Trump’s hush money trial resumed today in New York City with some very important testimony from the major players who helped negotiate the payments to former Playboy playmate Karen McDougal and porn star Stormy McDaniels. One main point hammered home over and over today was that Donald Trump was ‘in-the-know’ the entire time. When a prosecutor asked lawyer Keith Davison (who represented both women in the negotiations) if Michael Cohen (Trump’s former lawyer/fixer) made it clear he was working for Trump, Davidson replied, “It was part of his identity, and he let you know it, every opportunity he could, that he was working for Donald Trump.” You can read the ongoing updates at the New York Times for free through this gift link. https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1785378602554400948 One of the more comical moments today came when the defense team wouldn’t stipulate that a 2016 C-SPAN clip of Trump on the campaign trail was real. So the prosecution had to fly in Robert Browning, who is the custodian of records for the C-Span archives, to authenticate the clip. Here’s the clip wherein Trump categorically denied, denied, denied that he knew any of his women accusers. You know, Trump’s lawyers whole job is to get the jury to believe Trump is telling the truth. Then, there’s this clip. “As you have seen, right now, I’m being viciously attacked with lies and smears. It’s a phony deal. I have no idea who these women are…These are all horrible lies, fabricated.” Now, of course, we all know he knew them oh-so-personally. He also calls Michael Cohen, with whom he has now disavowed, “a very talented lawyer.” https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1785342272965374438
