
A new Associated Press-NORC poll found over half of those surveyed believe Donald Trump’s actions in trying to interfere with Georgia election results in 2020 were illegal.
According to the poll, 51% believe Trump’s actions were illegal, while 13% think he acted unethically but not illegally. Fifteen percent said he did nothing wrong.
The survey also showed that 53% of Americans approve of the Justice Department indicting Trump over his efforts to remain in power.
Looking at the big picture, 35% of those polled hold a favorable view of Trump, while 62% view him unfavorably.
At the same time, 42% gave a thumbs up overall to President Joe Biden.
While 73% of GOP voters say they would support him in November 2024, 53% of Americans say they would definitely not support him if he is the nominee.
