California has become the first state in the country to prohibit the forced outing of LGBTQ students to their parents by teachers. Under the new law, known as the SAFETY Act, school districts in the Golden State are barred from requiring teachers to notify parents if a child requests to go by different pronouns. Judge Aileen Cannon has dismissed the classified documents case against Donald Trump ruling that the appointment of the special counsel, Jack Smith, violated the Constitution.
