Ohio Lawmakers Approve Bill That Would ‘Out’ Students To Parents + More News

Some news items I thought worth your time: • LGBTQ Nation: Extending a disturbing trend in state laws, Ohio lawmakers have passed a bill that would forcibly out LGBTQ+ students to their parents and also allow parents to opt their child out of “sexuality content” at school.Variety: Check out this list of ‘Top 25 Most-Watched Specials of 2024’ that includes the National Dog Show, Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden, a couple of Oprah Winfrey specials and more. Can you guess which TV special claimed the top spot?

Kenneth-in-the-212: Kenneth runs down his recent TV viewing list. I agree with pretty all of his hits (and misses). • OUT: 20 LGBTQ shows that were canceled or ended in 2024. • Gay Times: Fans were not mad at new photos of Pedro Pascal – the internet’s official “daddy” –  relaxing on a beach during the holidays.

The Gothamist: According to listing service StreetEasy, the most expensive neighborhood for rentals in New York City is Tribeca, which has a median asking rent of $8,295. In second place is SoHo ($6,100), and the Flatiron District came in third ($5,900). In-unit laundry was the most desired amenity. • Instagram: Luke Baker brought a whole new flavor to the term “sexy Santa” this year.
