PEOPLE: In the upcoming Western movie The Power of the Dog, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as a grizzly cattle rancher who unexpectedly falls for the young son of a widow, who recently moved to his ranch. The character and the film explores themes of sexual repression and toxic masculinity.

Axios: Andrew Yang, former presidential hopeful and  New York City mayoral hopeful, announced on Monday that he changed his voter registration from “Democrat” to “Independent.” Just in like those elections, no one cared.

The Insider: A New York state court said that Donald Trump must submit to a deposition (under oath) by Christmas, moving forward a stalled lawsuit from Summer Zervos, the former “Apprentice” contestant who accused the ex-president of sexual assault.

Out Music: Out pop music artist Jake Wesley Rogers drops his new EP Pluto along with the music video for the bombastic title track.

Rogers’s muscular, emotional pop vocals are accompanied by a trippy outer space-themed visual that shows our hero evolving, transforming into a winged being before taking flight.
