Matt Gaetz just yet as some folks in Congress say he could still end up being sworn in at the start of the new Congress in January. • New Music: Omar Apollo releases the tender guitar-driven “Te Maldigo,” from the new film Queer starring Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, and Apollo. The track is oh-so-romantic, and I find the movement in the video mesmerizing. Washington Post: A police report has been released investigating an alleged 2017 sexual assault on a woman by Defense Secretary nominee and weekend talk show host Pete Hegseth. • New York Times: Donald J. Trump says he will nominate Pam Bondi, a former Florida attorney general, for U.S. attorney general, hours after Matt Gaetz withdrew from consideration. Bondi appeared here on TRR when she fought  to stop same-sex marriage and for allegations she dropped an investigation into Trump University after receiving a $25K campaign donation from the Donald.

Breaking News: After Matt Gaetz withdrew, President-elect Donald Trump’s new choice for attorney general is Pam Bondi, a former Florida attorney general.
