Nevada Reelects Democrats To U.S. Senate + House

A bit of good news here in my home state of Nevada as U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosen (D) is projected to win her race for reelection. All the votes aren’t counted yet, but the overwhelming number of remaining ballots come from Democratic stronghold Clark County (basically Las Vegas).

All 3 of Nevada’s incumbent House Democrats have won re-election in their Las Vegas-based seats — Rep. Dina Titus (D) in District 1, Rep. Susie Lee (D) in District 3, and Rep. Steven Horsford (D) in District 4.

Rep. Mark Amodei, Nevada’s only House Republican, was elected to a 7th term to represent Northern Nevada’s very rural District 2. While I didn’t get the president I wanted, I’m happy to report we “held the line” in Nevada in regard to Congress. Plus, Shelley Berkley, 73, who spent 14 years in the House of Representatives as my congresswoman, won her race to become the next mayor of Las Vegas.
