NPR: Montana’s Republican-controlled state House of Representatives has voted to formally silence trans Rep. Zooey Zephyr (D). During a debate last week on a bill that would ban gender-affirming care, Zephyr told her colleagues they would “have blood on their hands,” referring to the lowered risk of suicide among trans people who have proper medical care. Window Is Closing On Kari Lake In Arizona + More News

Some things I think are worth your time:

AZCentral: Kari Lake, Arizona’s election denying GOP gubernatorial candidate (and queen of the gauze filter), gained some votes today in her race against Democrat Katie Hobbs, but not enough.

Lake garnered 54% of todays ballot dump and 52% of yesterday’s ballot dump. But trailing by 26,000 votes, with 93% of the votes counted, she’ll have to win 58% of all the remaining votes. The Hill: Sixty percent of voters don’t want President Trump to run for president again in 2024, according to an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll released Wednesday. The survey found just 32 percent of respondents think the president should run for a second non-consecutive term.

CNN: While Donald Trump continues to whine about his epic fail in his quest for reelection, First Lady Melania Trump is already making plans for ending her time in the White House. According to sources, she’s begun inquiring about “what was available to her in terms of budget and staff allocation for post-White House life.”
