Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church youth minister Robert Ferguson, 27, has been arrested for sex crimes involving minors.

The investigation into Ferguson began in May 2026 when Ferguson’s wife found two cell phones with sexually explicit content on them and turned them over to law enforcement.
During a search of the phones, investigators found photos and videos that had been sent to multiple people without the victim’s consent.
Investigators also found screenshots they said showed Ferguson posing as a teenager while messaging a girl who said she was 16 years old. Police said Ferguson asked the girl to send him explicit photos.
During an interview, investigators said Ferguson admitted to messaging the teen girl in an attempt to obtain sexually explicit images.
Prosecutors charged Ferguson with attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images, and enticement of a child.

They bother to show up and harass folks at public libraries when drag queens read children’s books to kids telling them to be kind to each other, but they never make a noise about church leaders being charged with youth sex crimes.
