Pete Buttigieg’s Family Swatted By False CPS Report + More

Some news items I thought worth your time:

Substack: Pete Buttigieg said Friday that an anonymous child protective services allegation brought police and a Child Protective Services worker to his family’s home this week, forced his 4-year-old twins into forensic interviews, and left him briefly separated from them before authorities concluded the report was false.

Note – the kids are not, and were not, at risk. Hit the link – this is hideous.

MPR News: The Minneapolis City Council voted 9-2 to repeal the longstanding ban on adult bathhouses and businesses. The vote comes after work from advocates, city staff and council members who say the ban is rooted in homophobia.

Kenneth-in-the-212: Check out this week’s round-up of LGBTQ (and adjacent) publications including Hector Mesa covering the latest from Boylicious Magazine.

New York Times: Prosecutors in Washington D.C. say citations have been issued to “vandals” who allegedly poured fertilizer in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting pool to create algae or made a “350 foot slit” in the lining. But there are no records of arrests or citations.

The Hill: No, it’s not your imagination. Annual inflation hit the highest level in more than three years last month as prices across the economy rose at an even quicker pace, according to the Commerce Department.
