Jonathan Bailey Joins Cast Of WICKED Movies

Director Jon M. Chu confirmed via Twitter that out hottie Jonathan Bailey will play romantic lead “Fiyero” in the upcoming Wicked movies. “He’s perfect, they’re perfect. They’d be perfect together. Born to be forever….. I am too excited to pretend this hasn’t been happening,” Chu tweeted along with a link to a report by Variety that Bailey had been in talks to join the cast. “We have a Fiyero!!!! #JonathanBailey #Wicked.” From Variety:

The “Bridgerton” star will play Fiyero in the two-part feature adaptation headlined by Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. The Universal Pictures films are set for release on Christmas in 2024 and 2025.

“Wicked” is a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz,” telling the story of how Elphaba became the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.
