LGBTQ Nation: The first two weeks of 2024 have seen approximately 285 anti-LGBTQ+ bills introduced in state legislatures. Among them, 71 target health care, 21 seek to ban drag shows, and 130 propose censoring school curriculums. • Washington Post: The Justice Department issued a scathing 575-page report Thursday describing the myriad failures of local police during the 2022 shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, where an 18-year-old gunman killed 19 students and two teachers. But a recent poll shows him losing to Donald Trump in his own state. • OUT: Insiders behind the scenes of Max’s And Just Like That… say the character of “Che Diaz” (played by bisexual/nonbinary actor Sara Ramirez) won’t be returning  because fans didn’t care for the character.
