Greetings From Rome Day 2

Sending greetings from Rome. This is our second day in this glorious city.

Obviously, that’s the Colosseum behind us, where many a sweaty gladiator, competed for his life. It’s a miracle when you think of the man hours it took to build the structure back in forever-ago.

Everywhere you go there’s history here. And it’s so deep and rich you have to stop and embrace it fully.

Whether it was ruins (that Donald Trump would have razed to the ground to build new condos) or the charming musicians playing in different plazas, it’s an amazing city to explore on foot.

We did end up at an excellent restaurant named Camillo at Piazza Navona, one of the top ranked restaurants in the city where everything is made FRESH on property. The chef insists, and it shows.

We had delicious appetizers, the oh-so-perfect Carbonara (done the right way), and then finished the evening with the lightest, perfectly balanced tiramisu.

Set amid the Piazza Navona, and a chef and staff who are totally on point with the food, I highly recommend it. Our server, Arshi, was spot-on at every turn – making perfect recommendations that we loved – from the luscious carbonara to a tiramisu that tasted like a gold medal winner – light, flavors bright, and scrumptious across the board.

When in Rome, visit Camillo at Piazza Navona and have the Italian meal you’ve been dreaming of.
