Jan 6 Rioter Gets 21 Months In Prison For Selling Fake Vax Cards

Jia Liu, a former Marine Corps reservist, was sentenced to 21 months in prison on Friday after pleading guilty to selling fake COVID-19 vaccination cards to unvaccinated individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rodriguez was previously sentenced to 30 months in prison last year. Related: Bar Owner Busted For Selling Fake Vax Cards Liu and Rodriquez were charged with distributing over 300 stolen or false COVID-19 vaccination cards and falsely entering over 70 individuals in the government’s immunization databases. Liu specifically targeted the armed forces and their attempts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

From approximately August 2021 or earlier, the defendant created and distributed false COVID-19 Vaccination Cards to members of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to help them evade its vaccination requirements.

Liu boasted to a co-conspirator on an encrypted messaging app: “you have no idea how many documents I have faked in my usmc (United States Marine Corps) career.”
